EASY SETUP GOOD PERFORMANCE PROBABLY WORTH THE MONEY SINCE YOU EAT YOUR HEART OUT WHEN A LESS EXPENSIVE ROUTER FAILS TO DELIVER.

This router was very easy to set up. I needed more wireless range in my house and this done the trick. It was a little spendy but worth it.

So I have gigabit internet from AT&T and this can definitely provide preemo speeds via LAN around 850-900 Mb/s but over wifi it clocks around 400. The range is pretty weak on 5G but that's expected since it is a weaker freq. the 2G is great but the speeds lag at 50-75. So pretty lame. At least neighbors won't be able to steal wifi. Does well to cover 3 floors broadcasting from the basement. Just one dead room when in 5G. Definitely not the first option but this was on sale for 150 off and I had Best Buy rewards.

Upgraded from x4 to the x8. Coverage in 3 story house went from good to great. Streaming movies went from a small lag to none at all.

I still use the wired side of this router but other members of my household are wireless and speeds are almost up to my wired speed. Wired download runs 150 to 160 Mbps and uploads about 15 Mbps. Wireless runs 120-130 Mbps and 8 to 10 Mbps on uploads. Range appears to have improved by 10 to 20%. We can have up to 2 Xboxes and 2 PC plus a few handheld devices hitting it all at the same time with little drop in performance.

Wonderful and easy to setup router! I would recommend it to everyone! Very good for streaming, playing games, or surfing the internet.

This router is super fast and has pretty good range. It covers my entire 3,500 sq ft house. Probably more power than I really need.

I was amazed at how easy this was to setup. The range is great and speed is able to handle several devices with out slowing down.

My old Netgear was still working fine, but was only a level N and I needed to move up to the AC level for new iPhones and MacBooks. This router does the trick and them some with multiple streams and good coverage.

I bought this router to be used at our new office, and I thought I was going to have to bridge another router to extend the signal. Luckily this router performed better than expected and I did not have to go through the trouble.

This router was just the upgrade I needed. Keeps up with cable speeds and multiple users. Strong signal anywhere in the house.

My linksys went out on me so I wanted to try a different brand and Netgear seems to have good rep. so decided to buy this one and it makes my network faster than before...it's more money but it makes my life a lot easier...

Very fast and easy to use. Have had to reset it a few times but overall it is very dependable and handles all my wifi needs.

The router was easy to setup. The coverage is pretty good. Only time the signal is weak is when there are lots of walls.

I am very pleased with the Nighthawk X8, very disappointed that right after I bought it it was advertised in Best Buy Ad for $100/$150 cheaper than the price I paid and Best Buy would NOT MAKE A PRICE ADJUSTMENT.

After doing months of research I purchased this router to upgrade from another Netgear Nighthawk router that just couldn't handle the number of devices connected to it. I chose this router pretty much for the price Best Buy had the best price on Black Friday. I knew that I was going to purchase another Netgear and this one is perfect for the size of my house and handles the load of all our connected devices. Thank god for the individuals who invented the wireless router.

Woaw what a beautiful piece of hardware. more than 12 devices connected all flying fast. Streams like a dream.
