I purchased this router for $100 less than any other retailer sells it for

The fellow who waited on me at Best Buy convinced me that this would be better for my needs than the one I originally went in to buy...they were virtually the same price. I'm very pleased with the expansion of the signal and the strength of it. I was able to get rid of the Extender which was a PITA.

I am going to have the internet for the first time ever and with this i am going to have the fastest signal ever.

Much faster than our last wifi router. Download up to 65 megabits compared to previous router of 15 max. Like the multi network options so we can have a Guest wifi set up as well as high speed and standard network options depending on the device we are using. Handles 3-4 tablets and Netflix on TVs.

Simply amazing router, has been running strong for a little bit over a month without the need to reboot. Love that I can do link aggregation so I can run 2Gb to my NAS. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because speeds on the 2.4Ghz have been a little slower than normal and I can't figure out why.

I had major issues with my wifi reaching from upstairs to down stairs and through walls. I purchased this after reviewing several different reviews for it and others and went with this one for price, range and overall good reviews. I have not been dissapointed. Very happy with this purchase.

No problems with wifi lagging anymore. With the amount of devices in the house, this product handles it fine.

I'm sure my review will change when I can afford a modem good enough to support the AC5300. Only downside is finding the right price, I got s great deal considering retail at time of purchase. Make sure your modem has the speed and channels,QOS , to get the best out of this nighthawk.

I was using an Apple Airport router for years. I wanted it to just work. It wasn't anymore. This Nighthawk has thousands of reviews. I put it in and it is just smoking fast. If you want to control things like QoS, access control, parental controls, etc. it has it all. Absolutely no concerns.

Not as good as I expected for the price. Although it was easy to set up.

This router can handle anything you throw at it. Huge wireless coverage in my entire house (2500 sq feet).

With the three differant channels I can designate who is on what channel. Has worked great when we had the whole family over for christmas and they were on our WiFi. Also like that I can download the WiFi map and be able to see what devices are on my WiFi. Helps keep unwanted gest off.

Bought this router because I had weak web access in some rooms upstairs. This router took care of that.

This NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK ROUTER is "OUTSTANDING" it doubled to tripled my speed and distance in my house.

AirPort Extreme with Extender was causing too many hiccups when my wife was exercising with Xbox One and when streaming shows. The new X8 makes for a much smoother wireless network and QOS works great and very good whole-house coverage. We are very satisfied with first our NETGEAR product.

The setup process and features offered by this router are hard to beat. speeds were great and connections to the 2ghz and 2 5ghz networks were vary stable, until today. Woke up to no network at all. Checked the router, and it was in a constant boot loop. Tried power cycling, resetting, and a 30/30/30 reset to no avail. Looked on to Netgear's support page and found out that there has been at least one batch of defective units. Beware of purchasing this, at $400 you want to be assured that it will last more than a month.

I've heard a lot of people talk about this router dropping WiFi a lot but I have never had any problems with it. I love that you can turn off all of the lights and don't have to deal with the annoying flashing lights when the room is dark. It is also very easy to use and set up.

Before purchasing the Nighthawk, I had purchased and tried 2 Netgear Routers, the 1200 and the 1750; had issues with both. Since installing the Nighthawk, no disconnects or problems.
