since i used netgear products specifically routers, this one is the very best one i got. I've linksys before for 10 years but when i first got netgear router from my network provider, this one truly beats everyone on the market. Im telling you the cost super imposed everything: internet lags etc... So happy to have one....

This is a good product from a reliable supplier. This watch is a little pricey, however.

I have a large home 3600sqft and was having a difficult time getting the standard carrier router signal throughout my home, I had range extenders however I still saw a significant drop in reach every room away from router. I now get very close to "promised" carrier service over wifi in every room of my home from 1 router.

Well I could tell you I have over twenty years in networking and workstation and server support and a lot of certifications but I am not :) (but I do) because that doesn't make a review no one knows it all in today's real world. So.. I have a wrk1900ac that I was using before this purchase and I tested it against this nighthawk X8 that will be replacing it . Setup : Is a breeze very user friendly and also nice Gui for those who want to do more customization. You can litteriatly take this out of the box plug it in and it is good to go as the networks have all been setup with a unique password to the router you purchase . Range: Wow this blew my wrt1900ac away. I can get almost the same speed right next to us as in my back yard or my neighbors front yard. The Wrt1900 drops fast and couldn't connect in my front yard . This is with testing only in the 2.4 ghz channel on the 5 Ghz channels it was the same as if I was standing right next to it . Multiple devices : Samsung ja9500 4K tv, three iPads two iPhones streaming Netflix or mgo at The same time and there was no Lag no buffering . This killed my wrt1900ac . Copying 6 and 8 Gb video files from laptop to wireless PC . Was amazing actually beat the linksys wet1900ac . I was amazed because no one had ever been able to beat it copying files to its 3.0 USB. I used a WD 3.0 drive connected to the both routers. All I can say is Wow this is definitly worth the price and the looks alone are amazing. You have to see it as pictures do it no justice. The anntenas are huge and the cool blue lights one each one was a nice design . If you can offord it Buy it

Router has strong reception. I use it for my business, I run it in a two story building, which is dependent on a quality router. The only problem Ive had with it, is that it needs a stand to prevent overheating. I've had to return the first one because it overheated. I thought it was defected. When the second one did the same thing I realized it was the product. It works fine now that it's on a stand.

We have many devices, sometimes right at a time, and this can handle them all.

I can receive internet signal around hole house. I would recommend it for big houses.

I went in to Best Buy to look for a new router as our old one wasn't completely meeting our needs. The sales associate assured me the new Nighthawk would be the solution to all of our dead zone issues. While it is slightly better, it did not help that much and I ended up having a geek squad out to my house who suggested an extender. I probably could have just purchased an extender for my old router.

Upgraded from an X8 and it was completely worth it. For as many devices in our office that we have connected, it is fast and there hasn't been any bottlenecking or interference with connection. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking to maximize internet speed and connectivity and are not getting what they need from the one provided by their current internet provider.
