Set up four networks and passwords in 20 mins awesome

Here are what I look for in a router: Performance, Speed, and Quality Built. I found all three in NETGEAR Nighthawk X8. I was surprised to how easy it was to set up this router. When opening the package and seeing this X8 for the first time, I thought "Oh boy, this is going to take a long time!" Nope, I was wrong. It was fast. The setup interface was also intuitive. I really like that the antennas light up, letting me know that the router is working and sending out signal to all my devices. Oh yeah, speed is just blazingly fast compared to my previous router. Thanks NETGEAR for letting me be a part of your Friends and Family program member.

Great coverage .... No issues with multiple users.

I had a previous Netgear router and it was not giving me full coverage in my house. The result was my kids were burning up my gigabytes in the phone plan and every month we were over. Since installing this monster there have not been any overages due to home coverage issues.The added bonus....they can stream a lot faster

I have had many wireless routers best one to date.

I bought this for my office, due to the WIFI cameras using most of the bandwidth and us upgrading to 4K products. When I first plugged it in I didn't see any improvement from our old WIFI router at 1-2 mbps, and then an hour later all my WIFI products just up to 14-28 mbps and can stream 4k without lag or buffering.

I read up on this before purchasing.....I replaced Charter's "junk" cable modem and my own secondary wi-fi router with this one piece -not certain it would be any faster. Happily surprised......connectivity issues no more! And, my internal Wi-Fi is awesomely Faaaast! GREAT product at a good price!

I bought the AC5300 and an extender to cover my house. The product in the end works really well and I'm happy. However the setup was not easy and it took a couple of days and resets to get it done. Tech service was marginal and I had to figure it out on my own. Great technology but tough to get it setup.

This is the top of the line router good for those of us with more than 6+ wireless devices competing for bandwidth. It's great if you have 50+mbps or up, otherwise it's overkill. I like Netgear when it comes to routers. I have had many routers over the years and Netgear is the most reliable in my opinion.

Netgear - Nighthawk X8 Ac5300 Tri-band Quad Stream Wi-fi Router is a very good, powerful router. Unfortunately, after about seven hours of using, it started powering off and on... all by itself, intermittently. I had to return it to the store.

Have not had a single issue with WiFi since purchasing this router. We have multiple devices using the router on a consistent basis, and it never skips a beat. Would recommend it to anyone!

I have multiple devices connected, and THIS NIGHTHAWK makes it a cake walk for wifi!! electronics that once did not connect or had difficulty, finally worked and SMOOTH! totally worth every penny. Never using a company's modem/router combo ever again! You get what you pay for and MORE! BUY NOW!

I had this router for a few months now and has been great. The flexabilty of having the extra ports for hard wired line with out the need of an extra hub switch is great and it is very fast on the wireless side of things but occasionally drops signal, not sure if it bios settings or needs update.

Bought this as recommended by Geek Squad because my Mbps weren't high enough to stream to my TV. After installation my Mbps weren't as high as expected so I called Netgear support and they walked me though changing some settings. Very happy with the router and would highly recommend it.

I've been converting from Linksys to Netgear for several years. This is the latest purchase and first for home use. This speedy router was easy to set up and works great! There's a little button on the front to turn the blue lights off. If only the cable modem had the same dimming feature.
