I upgrade my previous routers and I am glad I got the Netgear orbi 660 series. My internet improve so much, it went from 100's to 400 Mbps up to 490Mbps. I am paying for 400 Mbps. It comes with two extra satellites which helps with having no dead zones in my two story home.

This was a game changer I had my provider wifi router plus several pods and my wifi service was total crapola after years paying monthly fees for a wifi router and pods that did nothing My speed triple after installing I finally have a stellar wifi system that will pay for itself by eliminating my monthly fees on wifi service from my provider that was crap

It’s okay connect to WiFi easy. app could be better, sometimes it bugs out. This is my 3 set in 7 years because the other fried out. When it works it works but expensive to re buy when it doesn’t.

Worthwhile Upgrade

I have a fairly large house, and this system got rid of all of the dead zones. The setup was easy. The app guides you through every step, making it super straightforward, even for those who are not tech-savvy. Now, I’m getting over 500 Mbps in every room, which is fantastic for streaming, gaming, and working from home. It’s definitely worth the upgrade if you’re still using a single access point. This system really makes a noticeable difference in coverage and speed.

I like that i no longer have to have an extender and swap between networks. That being said, the speed is only better in some rooms than the extender. And the set up on this thing is AWFUL. tried 3 times through the app's step-by-step with no luck. After 2 hours I called. Spent an HOUR on the phone with the help desk to get it installed. I think if it ever disconnects I'll just throw it out. HORRIBLE set up process. and app is just awful. I am not sure I'd get this one unless you know someone to install it for you.

It took a few tries to connect with modem, my old archer router I could block websites without subscription and this one I have to pay, which is a down side. 1 month in and router is working fine, I do like the more coverage I get through out the house.

Works a lot better than my old WiFi router. Has better range and with 3 units it covers my whole house and garage. Not the easiest thing to set up. Using the Netgear apps and passwords is confusing.

So far so good, especially for the sale price of $199. I had an older Orbi system RBR40 that had been running for at least 5 years, maybe more. I needed to upgrade and decided to stick with Orbi since I was already familiar. It is an amazing upgrade to what I had, I have ATT Fiber internet with 1Gig service. With my old Orbi I was lucky to get 250 download on a speed test over wifi, now I get over 800 mbps download over wifi and over 500 upload. I have a total of 50 devices connected between cameras, computers, ipads and iphones, lights, smart plugs, TV's etc and it all stays connected and runs super smooth. I would recommend you give this a try even though its a little bit of an older model and not as advanced as some of the newer Orbi systems, but I didn't want to pay the price for some of the newer systems and this has been an excellent choice so far.

Speeds are great. The setup was super easy. Only down side. I wish the orbi app had more advance functions instead of having to login directly to the router.

We've been using an old Orbi AC2200 for many years now. It has been a workhorse, super reliable and stable even with a lot of devices within the household. I thought I'd upgrade to a newer router to get WiFi 6 and also for more years of security and firmware updates. The AC2200 is EOL with Netgear so updates will be few or none now.
At first, this Orbi AX3800 was a nice upgrade. Faster speeds, reliable, and felt just like our original. I typically reboot our Orbi every couple of weeks via the Orbi app. We have a lot of devices and it just helps keep things running smoothly. The first time I did that with this new Orbi, the app prompted me to set up the router as if it were new. I thought that was really strange. I couldn't get it to connect and some of our devices lost internet so I set it up again and all was well.
I rebooted it again last night and most of our devices lost internet connectivity again AND the app told me the router needed to be set up again. The router itself was also blinking white indicating it was not setup. I don't know where the glitch is but I returned this Orbi and went back to our old one. I have always recommended Orbis to folks looking for a new mesh WiFi system but now I'm thinking twice about that. I hope mine was just defective.

I bought the system and had some issues setting it up. The power cord of the one node was inoperable. Having to return this made it really inconvenient. The nodes randomly drop off intermittently and need to be resynced. I have had to call Orbi a couple of times for troubleshooting. There is a sneaky Orbi support website out there that charges additional fees... beware of this.

I have an older Orbi system that I use as a Wi-Fi access point at my house (with a more powerful firewall) thats been solid, so thought I'd buy this one for the GFs condo to help improve coverage. Overall the range and Wi-Fi performance is good, but the FW/SW is clunky (e.g. limited power user functions, crappy static ip management) and the device is generally a bit frustrating to manage. There's also issues with poor & inconsistent syncing of satellites and if they dropout it takes several minutes for them to reconnect. Sometimes they never reconnect and I have to bring them closer together and do a forced reset & sync (and they're only approx 20-ish feet away from the base station). Overall, the embedded FW feels like it's half baked at best, and was never really tested in real life. For example, you can't even manage everything from a web browser logged in to the router's IP, as it says you must use the app to edit certain security functions, so then you switch to the app which is a pain to use to setup other functions (such as static IPs, which don't even let you sort but IP but are factory limited to sort in the order you added devices). Honestly the previous TP Link I had bought for her place had waaaaay better SW/FW functionality without paying ridiculous subscription fees to provide security!

Exactly what I needed! Bought an old house with lath and plaster walls and needed wifi coverage from basement to upstairs bedrooms. I had a the first generation orbi with only 2 satellites that were great in a one story home. They lasted forever and still work great, so i figured these will last forever too. Coverage is great with no dead zones. Lots of devices connected and never any issues. I almost got the ASUS mesh system for $50 cheaper but went with Orbi because my old set lasted this long I assume these will too. Very easy set up. You won't be disappointed.
