I needed a mesh system for my @ home Wi-Fi calls would drop when walking through the house. After reading many reviews I purchased the Orbi AX4200 and I have not been disappointed. It was easy to set up, fast connections throughout the house, good range, the app is easy to use, and my Wi-Fi calls do not drop anymore. I highly recommend Orbi.

With a cable modem and router in the basement, we had trouble maintaining wifi speed and reliability throughout the house. The Orbi mesh system solved that problem. Now the main unit is in the basement and the satellite is on the first floor, but even the computer in my second floor office is much faster than it was on the old system. I did have some trouble setting it up, and had to spend over an hour on the phone with NetGear customer service, but we got it worked out. Only drawback is the price. It's expensive, but with everyone working from home, it's a worthwhile investment.

I purchased the Orbi 4200 to replace my old router Netgear Nighthawk AC3200 (R8000). I debated a few days wether or not to go with the Orbi 6000. The Orbi 6000 was the better option but I decided to go with the 4200 for wireless devices since My house is wired for ethernet. Installation was easy, I was up and running in a matter of minutes. The 4200 was able to cover the dead zones in my house and my download speeds increased from a mere 70-90 Mbps to over 600 Mbps on average.

    Great WIFI upgrade

Upgraded a slow and intermittently dropping WIFI router (AC2600). The old router, using WIFI, was getting 10-14Mb down with limited range. Note I was getting 240Mb down at ethernet of cable modem and ethernet at router. With this system I am now getting 240Mb down use WIFI anywhere in my home with zero drops and only one network SID. Now security cameras, doorbell camera and other devices work as expected. I am extremely pleased and a little surprised on how well it works. Also of note: It was super easy to install - was up in a few minutes. I highly recommend.

Replaced my old Orbi system with this 5G upgrade to get better household coverage. My streaming has gotten much better with faster downloads and virtually no more download wait time. Setup instructions were easy and only took 2 min. to locate it's satellite router

We had a netgear router that we have had for 6 plus years and upgraded to the Orbi. I did not realize that our old router was providing only one third of the speed we were paying for. No more watching the spinning circle when we watch TV streaming. We have mesh Orbi with one remote. Great coverage on both levels of home.

Incredibly easy to install. Key is to install cell phone app and follow prompts. So far, I am no longer experiencing the buffering during streaming that was constant before this upgrade. With satellite unit, much better coverage away from base unit. Bought 2 systems for use at 3 locations. One used in an elongated ranch and the other in a 2 story colonial. So far very satisfied with purchase. Bought system without modem as already had one.

I went from moving like a turtle to running like a cheetah. I've always been a fan of Orbi since my very first purchase of one in 2016. The setup for this one was so easy snd thr range is unbelievable. Run don't walk to get walk.

In my 2k sq ft split-level house that gets 200mbps internet, I now clock 230mbps in every dark crevice of my house without fail, whereas I only used to get 100 if I was lucky in certain rooms prior. No manual changing of bands or connections as is required with non-mesh satellites. Wife now never even has to think about wifi, nor do I. Love these things. I don't love that the router only has 3-Lan ports, but 3 should be enough for most people.

Set up was a piece of cake following the app instructions. Router and satellite connection went seamlessly. I have never had coverage so complete with a great speed all over my house and back yard like I do now. Why would you chose anything else but maybe a more advanced Orbi system.

I'm very happy with the Netgear Orbi. We get full coverage in our house, about 3800 sq feet. Our house is 2 floors plus a basement. We have the main unit on the first floor and the satellite on the second floor. There are no dead spots including the basement. The setup was very easy and I really like the app. It is nice seeing what devices are connected. It also gives you an easy way to disable a device. It comes with a 30 day trial for a malaware program. It has blocked a number of attempts. I may subscribe to it.

Wicked fast! We upgraded from our old, slow, annoying cable internet to gig speed fiber optic internet and our old router couldn’t deal with the progress. Researched and decided on the Orbi with the satellite. Our house is around 2200 square feet, 2-story and there isn’t a weak spot inside or out (our security cameras are very happy with the Orbi). Glad to have something that can handle the speed for our network with ease.

Great if Internet Connection is 1Gbps or Less!

If you are looking for a system that supports internet connections above 1Gbps, do not buy as this unit supports UP TO 1Gbps but nothing in excess of 1Gbps. I recently upgraded my internet to 1.4Gbps and purchased the AX4200 because it said on the box up to 4Gbps+, specs show 4.2 gigabits per second but once connected to the internet the max download speed I could get was 950Mbps, WiFi or Ethernet, and as I said my connection is 1.4Gbps. The ethernet standards in the specs does say 10/100/1000 but I missed that part. Aside from the above, setup was easy, just follow the instructions and you won't have any problems. The AX4200 has great range, connection is stable, and for the 2 weeks I used it, I have no complaints. For those of you that have internet connections of 1Gbps or less, buy it, you will be glad you did. Also, Orbi support is great, 24/7, short wait times and they know what they are talking about. In the end I returned the AX4200, bit the bullet and purchased an AXE11000 (RBKE962). A lot more money but it supports WiFi 6E, is Quad Band, has more antennas and a much more powerful processor, and more importantly it supports 10/100/1000/2500/10000 ethernet standards meaning it will support internet connections up to 10Gbps.

I bought this to replace my google WiFi system. Over the summer google pushed out a firmware update that rendered wifi useless. I was on spectrum ultra (400 download) and I was lucky to get 50mbps. My cameras and other connected devices were constant dropping. Did a lot of reading about the orbi systems but couldn’t make myself spend the money on the ax6000. I bought this instead and have since upgraded to spectrum gigabit. I’ve been quite happy with this system. I have fewer mesh points than I did with google wifi, but I have awesome coverage throughout the entire house (2800sqft). At the furthest points in the house, I still see great speeds and haven’t had issues with devices dropping.

After trying multiple ways of addressing WiFi issues in my house, I’ve finally found a solution that works. I have Fios and constantly had issues with losing signals throughout my house. Kids would complain during gaming and my wife and I would have trouble during video calls. I tried Eero and while it increased coverage in my house it was still dropping. I tried Orbi and after a difficult setup this seems to be the solution I’ve been looking for. We now have a consistent WiFi signal and no complaints from people losing signals. The app is not as good as Eero and the setup did not work as easily as it should have but through some persistence I was able to get it to work.
