Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Orbi 750 Series AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System's extensive coverage, ease of use, and strong performance as significant advantages. Many appreciate the straightforward setup process and reliable signal strength, resulting in improved connectivity. However, some users cite the high price as a drawback, and a lack of robust parental controls is also mentioned as an area for improvement. While some experienced lag, others reported significant improvements in speed and reduced lag after installation.

So far Im happy with the Orbi... I've had to reset it a couple times in 7 months compared to once in a year on my Fios router but my range goes well beyond the Fios which is the reason I bought it in the first place! After trying out a few different routers, this router performed the best! Happy with my purchase!

Picked this up yesterday. It replaced a Nighthawk that I purchased early in 2019. It was doing fine but started failing and dropping the signal frequently last week. You would think that a $400 router would last more than 18 months. I have a 4000 sq ft home with an odd configuration so I needed something that would cover it completely with no dead spots. The Nighthawk had several dead spots even with extenders added. It was used hard with 24/7 power up and a lot of devices. But I don't think that I'll have the same issues with this setup. Orbi provides excellent speed and full coverage. 4 bars on my iphone even out into the driveway and on the back patio. I thought about buying an extra satellite but now I'm glad I didn't. It isn't needed. Setup took all of 15 minutes. That has to be a record. I also added the 4 year replacement plan so I don't have to shell out another $500 if it fails during that period. Very happy. Highly recommend.

This product is very user friendly and will give you maximum speeds. I pay for 500 mbps from my ISP and get those speeds throughout my two story home (appx 3600 sq ft). The app makes it very easy to manage and even give you notifications when a new device joins your wifi. If you are looking to make the switch to mesh, I would highly recomment orbi.

The router is great. The range doubled compared to my old router and so did the speed. I would give it a 4.6 overall because I did have some issues with the setup process via the mobile app. In the end I had to log in to the router from my desktop using the routers IP address listed on NETGEAR’s tech support page.

Easy to set up and get running. I bought this because my old router was dropping connections and I am so glad we picked this one. It has more than doubled the speed of my home network by better managing and transmission. It maxes my speeds to the same I get when testing my ISP at their connection! Well worth the money!

This system is the best we’ve installed to date. It’s the first time with no dead zones without outlet plug-ins. We’ve had no lag on two game systems running at the same time nor smart TV issues while streaming at same time, not to mention phones, computer, laptops etc. It’s our best yet and we are extremely pleased.

I upgraded from a 4 year old Linksys WRT1900AC and this is a game changer. I have about a 2500 sq/ft home and I have coverage everywhere inside. I have 400mbps service and within 0-20 feet of the router I get 450+mbps and at my furthest point, about 40 feet away from the satellite I get 80mpbs. There is definitely some drop of the further away you get but that is still more than acceptable to me. In my old setup I barely got service at all nevermind 80mbps when I was that far away from the router. The wired ports work as expected (gigabit). This is on the high side price point wise but worth it in my opinion. Very easy to set up, lacking some of the more advanced options I am used to having in a router but for home use I don't see that as a con.

Better than expected roaming with gig speed

Roaming, WIFI devices switching data connection between the Orbi base and satellite, is working extremely well. There is a lot of information on the internet about sticky clients, -69 db, and so on such that I did not expect near seamless roaming. Yet my 11 year does not stay put streaming on two ‘i’ devices, one for online gaming and the other for group chat all working well. With gig fiber-to-home, 920 mbs at the router, devices see over 900 mbs within 20 feet and generally no less than 300 mbs within 30 feet and one or two standard drywall walls. These are internet speed tests and not device to device on the Orbi network which would be faster. Day in and day out we are running 3 to 4 video streams concurrent with another wired video conference and VPN connection for me. As with any non-Telco router it is a little tricky to get the telco device into ip-passthrough or bridge mode. There is a lot of device specific information on the internet to help. System: northeastern Illinois area telco gig fiber, BGW 210-700 telco router, Orbi RBKS750, wired Cat 5e network out from the RBS750 to an 8-port switch including wired backhaul for the Orbi RBS752 satellite. Best.

Enjoying the Orbi quite a bit. It replaced a Netgear Nighthawk XR500 gaming router and it definitely is an improvement in connection and speed throughout the house. And this is coming from someone who only has a 60mbps internet connection (best available here) and no WiFi 6 devices (yet). I also love the Orbi app and simplicity of the router.

I bought this mesh router to deal with the fun of trying to have a network in a house with concrete and plaster walls. It works amazingly well. We have an addition that has a concrete block wall from the original construction between the satellite and router. I get blazing speeds from the satellite. Installation with the manufacturer app is easy as can be. I’ve set up routers the old fashion way before. The app made it super easy. I would definitely recommend this product if you don’t want to spend $700 on a router but still want a mesh router which has both WiFi 6 and great speed.

Huge improvement over my ancient Airport Express, most self-configuring. If you do it exactly in order, in range, they’re self-pairing (otherwise can be frustrating). WiFi6 is cool, but now I need to update my devices to take advantage My service is 75Mbps symmetrical. The speed test regularly shows 70-80 from the base station. However my phone from the satellite over the WiFi mesh only sees 60Mbps. Some negatives: - I can not get to my printer or other network resources. It defaults to acting as a router, and I can not change through the app. You have to use a browser to the management interface but my iPad doesn’t have a way to allow the self-signed cert - satellite must be in range of the base. My house blocks WiFi so I need them about 20’ apart lined up with a doorway - Ethernet backhaul is off by default and can not be configured through the app. Again, need a device allowing self-signed cents - I did not see third party wall mounts specific to that model. I don’t know if it is too new or if it is compatible with those for other models

Excellent, seamless coverage for the entire 2 story house and yard. Easy to set up, painless to maintain. Integrated with my existing equipment except for two 2.4ghz security cameras. Was able to work around, but would like to be able to select which band to connect with to make it easier to setup 2.4ghz only devices.

very easy to set up, app is great, wifi is very strong throughout the house and the rates coming thru are phenomenal! really happy I bought this system. the only criticism I could give is that their customer support could use some work...they aren't the most responsive at times, even if you are trying to purchase something else from them!

My WiFi was long over due for an upgrade. I went from a Netgear WNDR3400v2 to the Orbi AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh and couldn't be happier. Between the speed gains and coverage I'm easily set for years to come. I have no dead spots and no more buffering. I highly recommend this system. Set up was easy and the app is a nice touch too.

I have spectrum internet and the router they gave me was just not cutting it with the speed of internet I was paying for. I got the Orbi Wi-Fi system and instantly I got extremely fast internet all throughout my house. It was also very simple to set up! It was just really expensive but I think worth it.

Once I properly set up the Orbi, the WiFi in my home is really reliable. This was sort of a "rabbit hole" for me. I got the Orbi and realized that I should upgrade my internet speed with my provider. Worth it! I am getting blazing internet speed now! No more dial-up for me! LOL

This system was extremely easy to setup. I am getting solid wifi signal with fast internet speeds in areas I had problems reaching with a signle router. I would higly recommend this system. You can even look at other warehouse places and possibly get the system with two satellites close to the same price.

Just moved into a new house and having our Verizon router in the center of the house gave us some weak spots around the house. The Orbi gives the entire house even coverage of wifi. The range is actually so good that my phone connects to the wifi when I park my car on the street
