After paying the ransom so our provider would turn the dial up a notch, a Speedtest tells me it is *worse*. Tech tells me the promised rate is hitting the antennae, the problem is our router-repeater at the far end of the house; a mesh network might solve our problems. He was right! This baby worked out of the box and problem’s solved.

My wife and I work from home and I had to switch my "office" to a spare bedroom far away from the router. I tried a using a wifi extender and that did not do the trick. So far, this has worked great! I am getting approximately 300-500mbs everywhere in my house, including the spots that were "dead zones" with my old router. My house size is approx 4,600 square feet including the basement and I have not found any dead zones. I'd highly recommend it!

That did not happen. Basically it stayed the same or increased by only a small amount. The fault does not lie with Netgear but with the lack of devices capable of wifi-6. Where I needing to replace a router I would have been happy to keep the router and satellite. As it where, my current router was doing a satisfactory job of covering our home and giving us excellent wifi speed. In the end I returned the set.
