Not the one for a smart home. Router works well with good coverage, BUT, if you have smart home devices you should skip this one. Smart home switches, plugs etc only work on the 2.4 ghz band. They are typically configured from an app on your phone. Your phone has to be on the same 2.4 ghz network as the smart device. If your phone connects to the 5ghz network the smart device cannot be activated. Netgear does not allow you to assign separate SSIDs to the two ghz networks nor do they allow you to disable the 5ghz temporarily so you can configure the smart home device. There was a time you could telnet into the Orbi and disable the 5ghz antenna for a short period of time. This would allow you to add the smart home devices before the 5ghz re-activated. Netgear disabled telnet in newer firmware versions. So, to summarize, if you have a smart home, find a different router.

Set up was easy using app. I did need some help from my ISP.

I have my own modem and the system was installed with ease and worked great within minutes.

We had recently bought another mesh wifi router and had multiple issues including failed setup and dropped internet due to random restarts. Upgraded to the Orbi Mesh and everything has been working flawlessly since. We are a small business (15-20 employees) and the coverage has worked amazingly as we grew to 60 devices connected constantly.

I replaced the wifi and router components of my my Cox Panaramic device withe this 4.2 Gb Orbi system. I made a world of difference and corrected many issues that we had in our home network. Throughputs are much better, remote connection to my main office is much more stable, and overall our streaming service is tons better. Snap to setup and monitoring app is great. Very happy.

I'd hobbled together a "network" in our two story house, and was never satisfied with the speed/connectivity it provided. I bought this on a whim and figured worst-case scenario, I'd return it. Nope. This setup is awesome, and I'm buying another satellite to provide coverage to our garage!

Setup is app based. After setup half the app didn't work but router worked great. I called customer service about app, they said it was the router, not the app. They told me I had to return and get another one. I had same problem with the second one while setting up with customer service on phone. They had me doing multiple reboots until the app worked. Router works great but much improvement needs to be done to the app. App is very unreliable.

1st time mesh system buyer and router and satellite covers 2-story 5 bedroom house well

My internet speeds were okay but definitely wanted to upgrade to something that would give better range in my house I recently bought. After installing the router and calling the IPS to shake hands with the new router, it’s definitely made an improvement in download and upload speeds and better range throughout the house. Definitely is worth the buy!

Thrilled with the performance (speed and coverage) of my new Net Gear ORBI 6 mesh network. The router and satellite are lightning fast and there are no dead spots in my entire home. Coverage remains strong even outside. I experienced some challenges with the initial setup but Net Gear tech support quickly resolved the issues. No regret with the purchase and would do it again. Highly recommend this hardware.

Had issues with my Spectrum provided router handling our internet needs. After changing routers twice, I elected to try an alternative router. Bought the NetGear Orbi AX4200 after reviewing numerous reviews for mesh router systems. The coverage for our 2400 sq.ft. home has improved dramatically. We could not be more pleased with this purchase presently.

This one works so much better than linksys. The speed is excellent.

Easy set up. Good overall home coverage but not as good as I was expecting. In my opinion way too pricey. For the price I paid I expected more. I have 400mbps service and am only getting 93mbps on TV that is hardwired to satellite. Satellite is only a stairway plus 15 feet from router. house is only 1800 sq. ft. 23-27 wifi devices connected and obviously not all in use at same time. I liked the idea of the satellite but old nether n7000 was just as good.
