After changing routers twice, I elected to try an alternative router. Bought the NetGear Orbi AX4200 after reviewing numerous reviews for mesh router systems. The coverage for our 2400 sq.ft. home has improved dramatically. We could not be more pleased with this purchase presently.

The best of the four Routers I have tried.

I returned it and bought another one of the same brand and it had the very same problems. I returned it and bought this Netgear orbi mesh and have had no problems at all. The installation was very easy and everything works absolutely perfect. It has the highest download Wi-Fi of ALL the routers that I have tried.

Does a good job

This Ritter and satellite have been wonderful for our 1,500 square foot home. No dead spots, and for coverage I'm not the front and back yards. However the ability to pause internet on certain devices didn't work for the first week, and was sorry after that. I'd pause EVERYTHING, and my doorbell would still notify me when it spotted someone. It's working well now, however.

Not for Smart Homes.

Router works well with good coverage, BUT, if you have smart home devices you should skip this one. Smart home switches, plugs etc only work on the 2.4 ghz band. They are typically configured from an app on your phone. Your phone has to be on the same 2.4 ghz network as the smart device. If your phone connects to the 5ghz network the smart device cannot be activated. Netgear does not allow you to assign separate SSIDs to the two ghz networks nor do they allow you to disable the 5ghz temporarily so you can configure the smart home device. There was a time you could telnet into the Orbi and disable the 5ghz antenna for a short period of time. This would allow you to add the smart home devices before the 5ghz re-activated. Netgear disabled telnet in newer firmware versions. So, to summarize, if you have a smart home, find a different router.
