You can’t go wrong with this Netgear.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to upgrade my router since my family, was required to work from home. Let me tell you, this thing performs. I have many WiFi devices in my house, and this system handles them no problem. The app works ok, and makes most features setting simple. Not to mention, the router is actually not to ugly. Netgear makes great router, but a bit pricy.

Fantastic Router. Worth the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic Router. We had Netgear Nighthawk router before, and it was not bad. This is far superior. Coverage, speed, ease of use, and stability are noticeably better. We especially like the feature that allows direct Ethernet connection to the satellite router.

Fast but annoying
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This mesh system is fast and has great coverage! Seems like a winner but when you actually start using it you will run into one flaw after another. Parental controls? You can pause internet (takes very long to activate) for a user but only after you reboot the entire system and thus cut everyone off. Talking about rebooting...takes forever and many times the system wont come back on, requiring another reboot...and sometimes a third. These are just a few of the issues I found. This system feels rushed to the market and isn't worth it premium price. I hope Netgear fixes the problems otherwise I may be looking for something else soon (not Netgear!).

WOW -- setup easy and RIDICULOUS speed/coverage
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a medium sized two story house; had a high quality motorola router/modem from 2018. Router was in the center of the first floor and the corner room on the second floor had little/no coverage. Wifi extenders made our SONOS unhappy to the point of not working and speed was poor. I read the reviews of this product and decided to try. PAY ATTENTION -- there is no modem in this product. That should be made more clear in the web advertising since combined modem/routers are now so standard. COVERAGE is amazing. In that corner upstairs room, there is solid coverage and 230MBps download... upload speeds are faster than my best previous download speed @25 or so. We haven't tried multiple zoom meetings at the same time (we are both University faculty) ... but I suspect there will be no trouble. Agree with others that they are nice looking, too. A word of caution -- UPGRADE YOUR DEVICE DRIVERS on equipment when possible before installing -- this uses WiFi 6 and my Dell laptop from 2017 did not recognize it until I upgraded drivers (which was very disconcerting at first!)

Best WiFi Experience!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from an older Orbi system. The coverage is wonderful and now the speed is even better. These units are easy on the eye vs many of the other competitors. The setup it real easy if you use your previous user name and password as your previous system. Buy this with confidence.

Excellent Speed & Range, Setup Somewhat Difficult
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The system has excellent performance. My internet speeds are 900+ Mbps and range is outstanding. My outdoor security cameras have 100% signal compared to 52% before I upgraded to a mesh system. I would have given this product 5 stars because it truly is unmatched in terms of specs and performance when compared to other mesh systems, but the setup wasn't great. I attempted to set the system up 5 times before it was finally successful. The product usually comes with outdated firmware and that makes the white solid light remain solid on the router (both the router and the satellite should not light any color, light should be off). Be sure to upgrade the firmware at netgear's website through your computer before setting up the system. If the light stays solid white, just keep resetting the router using the tiny reset button on the back and go through the app install until it finally works. You can find helpful guides on reddit and netgear forums. Outside of setup, amazing product and first in class at this price point for sure.

Buy This Right Now, You Won't Regret It
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a basic Netgear router prior to replacing it with this, and I was having constant connection problems on the far end of my house. My house isn't that big but it has brick walls, which causes problems. This thing is night and day in comparison! Prior to buying this, I purchased an expensive Netgear extender hoping that would do the trick, and it did absolutely nothing to help my connection issues. So after some research I specifically went searching for a tri-band mesh system that included a satellite, and boy does it deliver!!! Worth every penny! Plus, Best Buy price matched Amazon, which dropped it down in price by $100. I was surprised to come onto the Best Buy website the next day and see that they dropped the price to what I paid. I don't know if they do that every time someone submits a price match request, but if so I think that's really good customer service. Very happy.

Big Improvement over the rbk50
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my home network having just bought the ac3000 version just a year earlier. Reason being? I wanted to future proof my home, utilize the ax compatible devices on my network(iphone 11, samsung gs10, surface laptop 3, and a few others), and be able to fully utilize my 1gb fiber connection. This version knocked all 3 down. My entire home is smart, with an excess of 50 devices connected so i needed something capable. My wifi speed increases upstairs from 220mb/s to 600mb/s, my downstairs increased to nearly 900mb/s. Needless to say, I am happy with the results and highly recommend this “if” you have wifi 6 devices. If you do not, currently there isnt a reason to upgrade.

Buttery smooth
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had tribands before but this…. Well this is just awesome especially paired with the satellite which gives range to my 5g. Normally after 30ft I go to 2.4 but this router never loses its range. 1700-2000 sq ft home is the range for this but honestly even when I’m at my backyard I still connect to 5g. If you’re looking to upgrade your WiFi go with this. Note, I play games and it never lags and I’ve connected 24 devices on this simultaneously and it’s butter.

Awesome router
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 1gb from Comcast. Before I was getting 100mbs or so with google mesh. Now getting 400 to 500mb when upstairs. Ecstatic. Wish it had more parental controls but otherwise very pleased. House is roughly 5400 square feet and have great coverage throughout.

So far a big upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We went from a dual band Velop with a base modem and 2 satellites to this Tri Band Orbi with one base unit and one satellite and it was an improvement right out of the box. Our house is a mid century ranch about 2200 sq ft on a basement and the old Velop barely reached the far corner of our house (master BR). This Orbi covers that. The speed is great too and feels faster on most of the streaming apps. The opposite corner of the house is okay but a little weak, but I’d already planned on getting a spare satellite to reach outside to my shop and it works amazing. I got this unit on sale and got 15% off for trading in my old Velop, so about $300 out the door which is way better than most of the comparable options and far better than the crazy expensive high end stuff (800-1k).

Almost stellar...almost
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first attempt at a Mesh Network, and these are actually AWESOME. Setup is stupid simple. Coverage is hard to beat (if at all). Would I buy it again, you BET! Why the loss of a star, you ask? That star is because of 2 things: 1) you have literally no control over which satellite to which a device will connect, and it almost always picks the furthest 2) the default menu for managing the devices is set to 192.168.1.1 which also happens to be the same management interface of EVERY cable modem out there, so it causes an IP conflict and will randomly stop allowing you to connect to the Management app. To solve, #2, set it up with the cable modem attached and the very first thing to do is to go in and change the IP addresses that it will use for DHCP to something else. Countless hours of searching and troubleshooting to find that little gem and it could be solved SO SIMPLY with a prompt during setup to set the default IP addresses or App IP to something like 192.168.0.1 if it detects that IP in use on the modem. Missed that mark Netgear. Otherwise, it is truly AWESOME and the inclusion of ethernet ports on the satellites was a homerun for putting desktop computers on the web on the other side of the house.

Better Tech
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WiFi router was very easy to setup, plug and play to new Spectrum service and am reaching true 1Gig thru speeds consistent. Would recommend. Upgraded from older Orbi system and see a big step in performance and signal.

House is fully covered!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This year I finally decided it was time to upgrade my 1800 square foot home to a WiFi 6 mesh system. I had been using a normal WiFi 5 Netgear Nighthawk router for years and it was great except that I was getting multiple dead spots throughout my home. It took me about 10 minutes to get up and running with this new Orbi mesh system and I immediately noticed a gigantic speed increase across the devices I tested (phone, desktop, laptop, etc). I was able to keep signal while in the furthest point of my backyard and out on the street in front of my house so my problem was solved! It may be a bit costly for some, but that is the price you pay for the best and newest technology. I highly recommend this product to anyone that wants to unlock the full speed of their home internet connection and have it be spread across their entire property.

Great mesh router!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got this product yesterday to replace an old Netgear router. Easy setup. Great app to use. We have a house with 4800 sq ft. Had lots of dead spots where even extenders didn’t help much. We have 100 MPS service and now through the house we are showing over 80 MPS. Highly recommend this product after just two days.

Great Wi-Fi Mesh System for 3 Story Townhome
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching wi-fi mesh systems and reading other reviews, I settled on the Orbi AX4200 as seeming to be the best option. I was already paying for 1 gig internet speeds from my service provider, so I wanted something that could use the speed and would be easy to setup while delivering wi-fi throughout my house. I live in a 3 story townhome, and I placed the modem with Orbi router on the top floor and the Orbi satellite on the bottom floor. I have had no problems at all with having a wi-fi connection. The app is relatively easy to use, and every time I have performed a speedtest on it, the speed has always been above 900 Mbps. I am very happy with this purchase! I was able to get a price match on it, so although it is expensive, the price match brought the price down $50. Highly recommend!

Great, just some small concerns
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first it was very difficult to hook up the second satellite nothing seem to be attaching to it (meaning my computer my phone nothing was saying it) but when I called the customer service they helped me and now it works fantastic I’m saying speeds at 200 MPS which I never have seen before so once you get it working it’s unbelievable. The only other thing that I would say about it is it’s supposed to be flawless meaning that when you walk into another room it’s supposed to automatically your phone or computer is supposed to automatically switch to the unit that’s closer that’s not true you have to shut off the Wi-Fi on your phone or computer and we put it back on now maybe there’s a feature to fix that I don’t know I have to call up and ask but when it works it works great

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Orbi mesh WiFi system has been great. Haven’t had any coverage issues, it was fairly easy to set up as well. I get the speeds I was advertised. The app is also great for monitoring your WiFi, can’t recommend this enough.

Netgear Orbi Mesh will improve your WiFi
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the Orbi System which has been in place about two weeks now. Installation was easy just by following the instructions in the application. I wish there were more specific directions so you can plan for the installation better especially when you have an existing system and you want to have a smooth transition from the old to the new system. Netgear Support: In making a call to the Netgear support team I found an inconsistent experience. The first technician was following his questions on a sheet. Once I was transferred, I spoke to a knowledgable person who resolved my issues within 10 minutes. Performance: The performance of the mesh router is outstanding. I see speeds equal to my internet speed throughout the whole space. The square foot coverage is as advertised. Overall this was a great purchase that helped to solve issues with internet speeds. I recommend if you are having performance issues with your current internet router look at purchasing this device.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been Amazing so far! Completely blows the Eero Pro mesh system out of the water! Getting 900+ mbps with this verses barely 600mbps with the Eero pro and this has one less satellite and out preforms it!!! Love if it so far!!!
