Customers are saying
Customers recognize the Orbi 750 Series AX4200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System's extensive coverage, ease of use, and strong performance as significant advantages. Many appreciate the straightforward setup process and reliable signal strength, resulting in improved connectivity. However, some users cite the high price as a drawback, and a lack of robust parental controls is also mentioned as an area for improvement. While some experienced lag, others reported significant improvements in speed and reduced lag after installation.

Stick with Nighthawk instead
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have been a netgear user for a long time and these do not stack up. The biggest complaint is that you cannot separate 2.4 & 5ghz signals to help connect apps on your phone to doorbell, video camera, etc. Netgear customer service told me to walk about 30 ft away from the house so it will auto connect to 2.4 and then try and re-connect. Returned and bought Nighthawk ax3600 instead.

If you like troubleshooting - Get Orbi
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great system - until you need tech support from India. My 3-day experience was so troubling I decided to return pay the extra for the Frontier Eros router. If I have trouble and need a tech, they come to my residence, troubleshoot locally. What was I thinking? I am so happy I took a loss and sold my Orbi AX 7500 and satellite for $100 on Offer up.

Another Bust by Netgear
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy really needs to start stocking more than Netgear junk in local stores. I have besn through several Netgear routers in last couple of months attempting to ugrade my network. They all seem to have their own personal issues. This particular router had terrible speeds over wifi6, the range (in a 1700sq ft trailer was terrible and it doesn't play nice with my nest cameras or my nest home devices. Avoid netgear at all costs. I ended up going with the uber expensive linksys mx10 and despite the cost couldn't be happier.

Requires creating a Netgear Account
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Requires creating an account to manage the router, which is complete unacceptable. The router provides adequate coverage, but no one should be required to create an account simply to manage the next macguffin a random corporation wants to use to intrude into your privacy. It should be considered a criminal act.

Sheek Design or does it actually only contain air?
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst router I have ever come across. Followed up, very closely, by the worst support. All while "premium support" is giving you the middle finger for not dishing out even MORE money for this useless box of air. I'm not a technical savant but I can follow technical instructions reasonably well. If that also describes you prepare to spend countless hours trying to find a fix for the ever elusive issue of actually keeping a connection to the devices within Wifi range. *Spoiler Alert* You won't! If that doesn't describe you I'm sorry but I need you to imagine the sound of elevator music for just a moment. Oh, and another moment... Oh and another moment!....... oh!! One mor.... *click. Sorry wait were you just on the phone for 4 hours with 5 different people all claiming that someone else would have the answer? No way! So have hundreds of other people. Take a quick google around and you'll see the reviews of this item have most likely been artificially raised. All of this to the biggest laughing stock of a business decision I've ever seen called "Premium Support". Not only did they completely and utterly fail to adapt to the influx of issues with their products during the peak times of Covid-19 they also have the audacity to demand more to make a brand new product work. So ya. Cool. Don't buy. Best Buy's return policy got extended thank god. 1000% Gonna return. Missed the window by a day the last time. Ridiculous.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Orbi to improve my Wifi coverage in my home. I used the product for a few months and can say that it did not make a big difference in coverage or speed. I regularly speed tested at various times with and without the Orbi. Now, Netgear pushed out a firmware update which disabled access to the router and app, which made its functionality worthless until they can resolve it (customer support told me this so it is a fact). All the features can not be used. I am one of the lucky customers who didn’t try a factory reset which disabled the router completely. Honestly, go with a cheaper system with full time support that you don’t need to purchase. If I could return the Orbi, I would do it tomorrow. Hopefully, Best Buy will help out this situation as a long time customer.

Disappointing reliability, random wi-fi
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After about 5-6 months, this unit went downhill (unable to connect to the cable modem) for unknown reasons. I have checked with my ISP, and there were no corresponding outages. The cable modem has been working just fine. The firmware is up to date (and not changed for at least 3 months.) After happening nearly every day for the past week, I gave up after doing a combination of factory resets and returning all settings to their default. The satellite unit is also a little suspect as it was just stop connecting to the main unit. I have contacted Netgear with a previously established account and registered unit. No response after three days (so far) which seems suspect if they offer 24/7 technical coverage.

Not my experience at all
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I feel like the real outsider on this. I purchased this 2 months ago and have had nothing but trouble. My internet speed into my house is over 900 mps. Directly connected to my modem I consistently get 915-935 mps. Once the router is connected it drops to around 520 mps. I have been on with their tech support and spent more hours than I would like to commit and now it is a losing proposition. They have sent me a new router and same thing. Unfortunately, I am past my 14 day return at Best Buy. In addition to the governor on speed, it may be the finnikiest router I have ever used. Do not skip a very defined step. I couldn't get ride of this thing fast enough except for the fact that I spent $400 on it.

Runs good, crawls and need to reboot
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1gig fiber One or two times a day the units would throttle my wired and wireless to a crawl. Rebooting the Orbi was the only fix, but it's not a solution. I put in other vendors from work including Asus AX, Unifi Alien and enterprise equipment Cisco, Fortinet and they worked great. It's possibly a software issue, but have decided to return these.

Do not recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Junk junk junk. The android version for the app to connect the units to my internet was a slow laggy buggy issue. There are no detailed instructions to tell you what the lights should be doing unless you do a little digging. Once I finally got everything setup,I did the firmware update. And I will stay the only way it would update were through hardwire not wireless. Once it updated the main orbi would not connect back to the modem no matter what I tried it the app recommended. An my modem is also a Netgear nighthawk. I even tried a hard reboot. That did not work. I packed the unit up and returned it back all in the same day and bought the TP link x90.i see now why there is such a big discount on the product. It's JUNK. Side note. They are quite large and even felt cheap. They did not feel like a premium product for price they are charging. Don't waste your money.
