Many appreciate the straightforward setup process and reliable signal strength, resulting in improved connectivity. Installing the unit in our 3,000 sq. ft. home was a breeze. Installed the main unit in a southside back bedroom and placed the other unit in the family room on the far north side of our house. A very strong signal throughout our home, on porches and even reaches the mailbox at the end of our driveway. Once the units were in place everything (iPhones, iPads, Computers) was a breeze. My system has only been installed a little over a month, so far I am very happy with the purchase.

My Orbi router and satellite were zapped by lightning last week and I had to replace my mesh system. I never had a thought about getting a different mesh system. I got another Orbi router and the setup was just as easy the second time around. Connectivity is fantastic and speeds are as good or better than what I'm paying for. Couldn't be happier with this setup.

This system is absolutely amazing! If you had a 1gig connection it’s a must have! I get almost 1 gig down everywhere in my entire house. With my old router setup even 2 feet away from my router I couldn’t get these speeds. This system is literally mind blowing fast!

This works great in our house (~2500sqft) providing quick and speedy WiFi. The dedicated WiFi backhaul channel hits a solid 1Gbps so I didn't even use our wired network for the backhaul. Because it comes up in so many questions: This is not a modem. This is a Mesh WiFi router. It requires a modem compatible with your service provider to access the internet. It will work with ANY modem device or modem/router as long as your modem has a network LAN port available to plug the Netgear base uplink (WAN) network cable into. It will work with cable modems (XFinity, Cox, etc), DSL modems, fiber optic modems (Verizon, etc), satellite modems, and others. Internet service (XFinity, AT&T, etc) is NOT WiFi. WiFi is what the modem/router combination device from your internet provider uses to get wireless access around your home. Internet service is provided by the modem and WiFi is provided by the router (the same device if you have Xfinity). All of it funnels up through the modem (or modem/router) supplied by your internet provider. This does NOT replace your service provider's modem (or modem/router combo), but it will work with just about any provider's modem or modem/router IF that device has a wired LAN (*not* WAN) port on the back. It will work with 3rd party modems such as those from Arris or Netgear, but you should check with your service provider as to which 3rd party modem(s) work with your service plan before buying one.

Bought this router because I needed to cover a range of 5,000+ sqft. It recommended to place the satellite 40 feet away maximum from the router but I placed it a bit further and have had no issues regarding my internet since. The whole house gets fast internet as well with no interruptions.

Tremendous router. Able to pull as much speed as you need with current internet package. Additionally the satellites do wonders for extending the range of the device and seamlessly trade off with zero delay response. Only difficulty with this product is connecting to certain 2g networks though a dual band it struggles with things such as nest connect and certain brands of LG TVs. However the customer service is great and easily walked me through changing certain settings to fix these issues. Hands down, best mesh-like system available.

We upgraded to this Orbi system from a first generation Orbi system. Our internet speeds were slowing down and it was clear that the old system was hitting the end of its life. I had the new Orbi up and running within 10, maybe 15 minutes. The setup app made it incredibly easy. We noticed a difference in speed right away and when I did some speed tests, the new system was blowing the old one out of the water. We have great coverage with just the router and one satellite throughout our home (2 story, 2400sf). Very happy with the Orbi mesh system.

I got this after being disappointed by the Asus ZenWifi XT8, and no regrets about switching to Orbi. While the ZenWifi system is far more feature-packed and delivers download speeds consistently 10MB/s (yes, megaBYTE not megaBIT) faster, the Orbi works where it matters most: roaming, band steering, and reliability. The Orbi works amazingly, and I've yet to experience disconnects of any kind. Automatic, scheduled firmware updates while the system isn't being used much is also a plus (i.e., my system automatically updated at 3AM). With consistent download speeds of 20-30MB/s (yes, megaBYTE), this doesn't give the fastest peak download speeds but is definitely more than enough for heavy network usage across many devices. The Orbi is a set-it-and-forget-it system that blankets you home in a strong WiFi signal.

The hardware is working very well, but, the software is a bit disappointing. I couldn't get the app to finish set up so I called their support number. After about an hour of troubleshooting the app and using the web portal to get the network running, the wifi was transmitting, but the app still wasn't working. Their tech support told me to just deal with it as-is. After a few days, the app started working. The hardware works pretty well. Great signal strength and range, and the speed is appropriate for my ISP plan. Overall, it's a great system that needs some work on it's software. Hardware: 4 Stars Software: 3 Stars

I needed a mesh system for my @ home Wi-Fi calls would drop when walking through the house. After reading many reviews I purchased the Orbi AX4200 and I have not been disappointed. It was easy to set up, fast connections throughout the house, good range, the app is easy to use, and my Wi-Fi calls do not drop anymore. I highly recommend Orbi.

I did a lot of research on upgrading my router and everything was bringing me back to this system. I wanted to future proof my house so going with wifi 6 mesh system was the way to go. I had an old system that would give 80Mbps and after I installed this system I couldn’t believe my eyes that I was now getting 940Mbps. I couldn’t be more happy and the install was so easy following everything on the Orbi App.

All I can say is wooow! Bought the Orbi mesh wifi system to improve coverage in my two-story home because my ISP’s modem, router, and satellites were not enough to handle two people on video calls at once or one person playing video games while another was streaming. These have changed all that. Regularly get download speeds of 900 mbps in the room farthest from the Orbi and haven’t had any issues with dropped video calls or constant buffering on streaming devices. We have over 40 connected devices and have had no issues. These are pricey but so worth it.
