Excellent Wifi connectivity and speed

I used to connect internet using wifi router and extenders. I had used Wifi extenders to connect with multiple devices in my home as there were no Wifi zones identified using my existing Wifi router and internet speed was fluctuating. While using VPN connection at work the speed reduces and I had to review with few tech guys who suggested to use Wifi mesh instead of extenders . The cost involved to buy a mesh system was more which made me to look into multiple devices available in the market before finalizing Orbi . I am currently using the Orbi from past few weeks and it has provided excellent speed and connectivity. I currently don’t have no wifi zone in my home with 2 Orbi satellite devices placed in my basement and upper floor . Now I Feel free to move around my home without switching Wifi networks as it’s the same all over the home . The mobile app also helps to ensure and monitor the devices connected. I am happy with the performance and I would recommend this device for homes with multi level to reduce no wifi zone.

Don't waste your money

It took about 3 hours to set up with the help of Netgear support. Now my smart TV can't connect and any gaming system takes forever to connect. The satellite is dropped every so often for no apparent reason. Unfortunately this is just a bad system and waste of money.

Poor service

Warranty is useless when they say it is “not a hardware defect.” Back to my Asus router.

Problem router

Like every other Netgear I’ve owned the WiFi is the issue. Constantly dropping off and have no internet. Comes back on works for a while then drops again. Learned my lesson this time. This will absolutely be the last Netgear product I purchase.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After doing research on what kind of router would work best with my fiber internet, I settled on the NETGEAR Orbi. After an initial issue with the router not staying connected, I was able to get the mesh system set up through my house without any problem. The app has been great to work with, and gives me regular updates on devices that connect, and with the security trial that is offered I feel confident that my network is secure. And with the extra satellite routers I have yet to find a dead spot in the house. If I had to list a con, it is the actual size of the units, they are larger than the other mesh router systems that I had looked into, but I cannot find any issues with the performance of the Orbi system. I would recommend this system to anyone with a need for quality mesh router.

Great router to launch into the next generation

I used the app to get through all of the setup after I plugged in the ethernet cable and the power. I was up and running within 10 minutes. Features - I wish there were a few more ethernet ports on the satellite but I already have a switch on the other end so I didn't lose much. WiFi-6 is going to be a game changer as we get more and more devices that are compatible. Performance - I only own one WiFi-6 product and I was getting full speeds everywhere in the house. It's been a long time since I saw anything over 80MB download speeds on my mobile device and it's been a dream seeing over 250MB. Did product meet your expectation? Yes, it exceeded my expectations. Would you recommend to a friend or family member? I would recommend this product!

Orbi6 mesh router

Connection Rejection

Netgear support helped here but spent 5 hours trying to make router work. All my devices connected except my work windows 7 computer. Frustrated, I gave up and returned to Best Buy.

Unit still drop by wifi connection - no fixes

This unit does the same as my old unit and also drops my wifi connections. I could not use these and will be returning them.

Do NOT Buy This Product. Get An Eero.

The Orbi AX4200 is no better than the AC2200 I replaced. Unreliable should be the model number, Netgear did not woo me with this router either and their customer support continues to be garbage. Needless to say I returned it.

Cannot set up

Apparently, this is a common problem that hasn’t been addressed. I never could set it up and will be returning it ASAP. I haven’t had good luck with net gear and will not try them again.

WIFI MESH

Buyer beware.

You can't configure any advanced settings through the app. Configuring them through the webpage doesn't always apply. The wired backhaul mesh disconnects every 12 hours. Returned them after fighting with them for a week.

Netgear Garbage

We recommend performing a Power Cycle of your Satellite and Router as well as following the steps in this article: https://kb.netgear.com/31020/What-do-I-do-if-my-Orbi-router-can-t-find-my-Orbi-satellite.
All NETGEAR products come with 90 days of complimentary technical support, and 1 year of hardware replacement warranty. If you are beyond the 90 days of complimentary support and you need additional technical support you will be asked to purchase an extended support contract, but if the device has failed and needs to be replaced you will not be charged for the support call, since this is covered under the hardware replacement warranty.
