Upgrading to the Orbi is worth the cost for use in larger homes (4400sqft). We did not have coverage outside with the AMPLIFI mesh system and now get coverage inside and outside. Our wireless speed has increased significantly inside when away from the main router. The hardwire speed was also significantly increased (cat 6 cables) over the old router. Units are very large for a wifi system and the power supply is a little oversized. Could be harder to find locations for these units.

This is a great product and it was fairly easy to set up! The range is great and it covers my entire property linking my ring cameras into a get system! When we’re away it quickly responds and allows us to see any alarms for great security!

It has good range but not dependable. Drop’s satellite periodically it connected devices. Eero more dependable. Never drops but it doesn’t have the range. If your in a 5,000 square foot home or less; Eero is the way to go

Expensive system that performs good, not great. For the price variance, I'm not sure it's worth the extra investment. Thus far, having the quad channels has not demonstrated a differentiation from my last Linksys mesh system.

We have a long house and most signal enhancers did not work. With Orbi, we have excellent internet signal throughout the house.

Save yourself time and buy Asus, unique, or tplink instead. This wonderful piece of art is not only expensive, parental controls, firewalls and other advance features are all extra. Everything is included in Asus routers. As far as speed improvements, my ac5300 was getting 550/475mbps on wifi. On this same spot I was down to 310/200 mbps. The 6e frequency needs line of sight and most homes do not allow for a clear line of sight. When i was right at the router i hit 610/300 mbps, but i go about 40 ft out and I'm down to 310/200.

I'm thrilled with the new Orbi system. I had a mini-Orbi system prior to this. My signals started dropping pretty frequently..., had a new and current modem installed, that didn't help. I called for Tech Service and requested Kevin Pierce, he called asked me what problem I was having, I told him. I said I need that "big daddy Orbi system!! He brought it with him, installed it quickly! He's so knowledgeable, so efficient.

Ditched Google nest. These work great. Easy install.

We have an old Brick Farmhouse with many problems with Wi-Fi. We tried many different systems and this is the only one that has worked for us. We would like to thank the staff at Best Buy in Cranberry PA. They were a big help!

I bought this product to replace an old Linksys that I had when I moved to my new home. I'm really big in home automation and really thought that this product would be able to handle all of the items on this network. I really tried to like it but found that the satellites were constantly dropping even when they were less than 20 feet from each other. My wifi-enabled products kept doing the same, and was so frustrating. I've spent several hours with Netgear to troubleshoot but they ended up saying that they couldn't help me without saying they couldn't help me. I needed something more stable... and went with another product that has served me well.

Future proof your homes wi-fi with this great product. I worked with NETGEAR's technical support while setting this product up. NETGEAR's technical support made sure the router and satellites were connected and working correctly.

Replaced a previous generation Orbi mesh system. Set up was easy and quick. works flawless in a 2 level house.

works very well in house/garage.... curious to see how efficient it is out back by the pool....needs to be more readily available in Black...Geek squad was in and out in no time!

I feel like I must write this review after two years of using this product. Especially after I switched to the Eero Max 7. I've had the Netgear Orbi 960 Series 3-pack plus 1 extra satellite for nearly 2 years. During this time, the router and satellites frequently gets disconnected, and each time is a different satellite, this causes a big issue for me as I have smart devices all over the house, from smart switches to ring cameras. It is such a pain going home and seeing a number of smart switches flashing red, or opening up the Ring app and see some of your cameras are disconnected, or sometimes all of them! I tried updating the firmware and kept the firmware version as up to date as I can but this did not help. Everytime some devices gets disconnected, I have to either restart that particular satellite or the router. This brought so much pain, frustration and inconvenience to me and my family and for a $2000 router setup (3pack + 1 extra), this was unacceptable. Until I replaced them with Eero Max 7, I was skeptical that it would happen the same, as I've been living in constant fear of being disconnected randomly for 2 years. The Eero proved me to be a life changer. In conclusion, I would not recommend Orbi 960 Series to anyone, I hope they did a better job on the Wifi 7 system which is its successor but I would not dare to purchase again another Orbi product.

I got tired of my Google WiFi having issues in my large home, so I invested in the Quad channel AXE11000 mesh from Orbi. These things rock. Not only can it easily support my 6 person family WiFi network with 60 devices, but it does so while keeping stable connectivity to my 6 IP cameras and servers in my garage (which are plugged into one of the satellites). All the advanced features I needed worked without even disrupting service when being configured, such as port forwarding, VPN, static DHCP, and enabling or disabling a guest network. These are great. Get em!

I own the previous generation AX6000 system. Have been reading and researching this 6E system since it came out. Huge price so wanted to be sure. My conclusion is that it is simply not worth it at this time. Most recent reviews are in accord: "the overall average speeds weren't the fastest I've seen. Interestingly enough, the top spot still goes to the previous-gen Netgear Orbi AX6000. " - Netgear Orbi AXE11000 review: A mighty mesh router that's more than you need (CNET - story by Ry Crist • Feb 10). Now, I do not own the 11000 6E system, but based on what I have seen in the reviews, I will be sticking with the significantly less expensive AX6000 system. Cheaper price by far and as good and even better performance numbers.
