Not good for parental control
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I planned to replace my old Asus N router and decided to give the Orbi AC2200 a try. For some reason trying to pair the router with the satellite was a challenge. The app was SLOW and if for some reason you need to leave the app during the initial configuration and go back, you have to start the setup again. After I finally had the router configured and both devices paired, I noticed the next issue with this router, the parental controls are not as versatile as my old Asus. If you need to schedule a timer for your kids you’d have to PAY for a monthly service, a feature that traditional routers already have it built-in. Also I always like to specify my own DNS servers in my routers, something that can’t be done with the Orbi. I ended returning this router and getting an AC Asus, life is good again.
