Customers are saying

Customers regard the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (2-pack) highly for its ease of use, extensive Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal, leading to improved performance. Many appreciate the straightforward setup process and the noticeable improvement in range. While some find the system expensive, positive feedback on performance and lag reduction outweighs this concern for most users.

I purchased the router on March 14 the router worked amazing. 3 days ago the internet stopped working 6/24 we spoke with spectrum to fix the issue they said Internet is working we connect back their router and the internet works. I called netgear ro fix the issue and they tell me my 90 days support is over and I need to pay 50 dollars to get support. How convenient that exactly after 90 days you have issue with the product. I hope best buy will take care of this issue. Ohh also the guy from their technical support from India just hung up the phone on me!

    Unreliable

I'm on a rural wireless ISP...so we're talking slow speeds to begin with. Initially on setup, our speeds improved right up to 6Mbs. Lightning speed out here. But after a week, it was back down to 2Mbs, and then sub-1Mbs. Reboot...and it worked great. For a couple weeks. Now I'm having to reboot it every 10 mins to get 6Mbs. After countless calls to Netgear Support (not great by anymeans), forum searches, and my own tinkering, I'm just returning the system. The support is horrible, and the hardware is sketchy at best. Makes me wish Apple still made good stuff.

Directions are on an app. It also doesn’t tell you that this set is to be hooked up to your modem to replace a router but if you are trying to replace a modem/router combo that is not an option but you can connect to it, which defeats the purpose to me. So I’ll be returning.

NETGEAR Orbi app won’t find router

No matter how many times you reboot, reset, factory reset you can’t connect with the app to get it setup. It says I’m not connected to the internet yet I am and it’s connected through the Orbi router. At least the internet works with it but not able to set it up to change settings or make sure The satellite one is working. I’ve done all the trouble shooting and have given up. If it was for my own house I would return it and get something different. Unfortunate it’s for my mom and I won’t be back for a bit to return and get something that works.

Need to download and use an app on your phone to use this product. Who needs another app? Also, set up took longer then expected as the range of the “satellite” is extremely low, less then 15ft from source. Also DID NOT extend wifi to nearly as advertised range.

Cameras and solar panels poorly located, not working properly. Installers left loose computer/router cables. Several wireless routers were tried and failed. Many problems remain. We were left with a security system too complicated to easily understand and use.

I purchased the Orbi because I needed 5g wifi, and to improve the overall performance home wifi system. I liked the idea of a dedicated backhaul system. I have had this system about a year now. The satellite stopped linking back to the main router 6 months ago. Before that, the satellite would intermittently drop the internet. I thought it was because the node was to far away, and so therefore I moved it into various places within my house. Relocating it did not work at all. I have been very disappointed with the performance of this unit.

The system was easy unpack and the initial setup was simple. That was the last time I was satisfied with the Orbi. It was plugged into my cable modem via Ethernet as instructed. Everything worked fine - for an hour. At that point, I lost connection. When I reset the router, it seemed to work fine again. That lasted about an hour. Then I lost connection AGAIN. I have completely deleted the setup several times, and each time had the same problem. I finally got fed up and returned the system.

supposedly rated as one of the best wifi mesh systems on the market. Brought it home followed all instructions. The extender kept dropping signal, it kept moving all my 5ghz devices to the 2.4ghz band. The extender kept loosing signal. Tried it for a week, I build my own computers and wired the house for gigabit Ethernet. I am fairly good with tech and could not get this to work at all. I then went and bought 2 netgear r6700 v3 used. cost me $30, have better signal, more coverage, and can attach usb drives for network storage. I would never recommend this.

I purchased this based on the square footage that it was supposed to cover (3500) and my home is 2500 square feet, plenty right? Wrong, the signal barely reached my garage. Took it back and will try the next size up

All day long we have had to restart the router due to lost internet connectivity. We spent countless hours and dollars having Frontier come out to service our internet, only to finally realize that this Orbi is known to have these problems, but if you wait past 30 days to discover it, you will have to pay for Orbi customer service to troubleshot. The worst. I am so upset over this waste of time and money. The only reason we bought it was so we could use the 1st Generation Circle Parental controls, which we did like.

First the instructions was not clear, you have to download an app, the app guide you to complete the installation and after follow the very simple steps the system does not work... the poor support and the worst is that this is the second system that I buy from Best Buy... first I get an extender... when I returned to the store a tech that supposedly help me to get right equipment, instead of that she just guide me to get the expensive equipment... I had to get from a different company... terrible this time
