Worst wireless experience I've ever had.

The modem seems to work fine (though I can't manage to get the gigabit Internet yet), but the connection between the Orbi and the modem simply refuses to stay up. They're connected with a 6' cat-6 cable. This shouldn't be an issue. It also took more than an hour on the phone with technical support to get them to work the first time (their support staff was exceptional, btw). I can't recommend the Orbi solution, not one bit.

Our house is only 2K square feet over 3 levels :( save your time and money and get something else.

Spent hours...couldn't get it to work

Followed the instructions and successfully established a secure wifi connection to my laptop, but the connection had a "no Internet" error. I read a bunch of forum posts and it seems a lot of people were having this problem and there was no clear solution. After wasting 3 hours on an installation that should have taken 5 minutes I gave up and returned it.

If I could give it NO stars I definitely would!!!!! I wasted over 2 hundred dollars on this thing and couldn’t even get it to work. Couldn’t get it to link up. Called tech support they weren’t helpful at all! Definitely not easy to use and not worth the money. So it’s actually worse than poor!

Stay away from Netgear

After having this for less then a year it is riddled with problems. Firmware updates fail for no apparent reason, and support is no help. The Circle feature doesn't work. No point in parental locks if they don't actually work. This is not the first router made by Netgear that has been nothing but trouble.

Never worked!

I followed the directions completely and tried all of the trouble shooting options. I even called the Geek Squad. However, I could not get it up and going. It would work for a few minutes then stopped or continued failing to set-up. I am really sorry because I was hoping that it would work to improve the WiFi reception for my Ring cameras.

Not worth the money

Too difficult

Bait and switch

After speaking with customer service we were advised we would need to buy a secure internet subscription in order to move forward with the setup process (for a fee). We boxed it up and took it back and got the google mesh. Easy install and no extra hidden costs.
