Customers are saying
Customers regard the Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System (2-pack) highly for its ease of use, extensive Wi-Fi coverage, and strong signal, leading to improved performance. Many appreciate the straightforward setup process and the noticeable improvement in range. While some find the system expensive, positive feedback on performance and lag reduction outweighs this concern for most users.

Posted .Hi meme,
The Orbi router will not connect to your original Orbi system. The wall plug will work, but you only want to have one router. You may set up the orbi router in AP Mode.
Thank you

Fast and Easy Setup and Performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only had this mesh network for a day, but all I can say is WOW!!! The setup was super easy using the Orbi app on my iPhone. It guided me through step by step without issue. Previously I was using a Spectrum supplied modem router combo for my network. I thought I was going to have to mess with the old modem router settings to make this work, but this was not the case. I simply plugged Orbi into one of the 4 Ethernet ports and I was good to go. I may go back and turn off the 2 WiFi networks on the old router just because, but it wasn’t necessary to do so. The biggest hassle, which wasn’t Orbi‘a fault was changing the network login on all my devices because I used a new network name at the advice of the salesperson. This was probably best as it meant I didn’t have to turn off the old WiFi networks right away. I have a 2,000 square foot house and the WiFi previously was weak and slow (about 25%) on the far side of the house. With Orbi, I have full strength signal and speed throughout. This is really beneficial because my Blink security camera that was outside on the opposite end of the house used to have a weak signal and didn’t work reliably. Now it has full signal and is responsive when I attempt to access it. I really like that it blends the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks into 1 seamless network. I don’t have to pick which one to use for a specific device as I did previously. Now I just connect to my one new network SSID and Orbi assigns it to whichever will work best at the moment. I don’t know a lot about mesh networks or networking in general so I don’t know if this feature is standard across most new setups, but I will say this was a key selling point for me and I love it.

Great Range and Speeds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a very old house where my family and I occupy the 2nd floor, 1250 sq. ft. of living space. Until recently we had 100/10 Mbps internet service and used a first generation Apple Time Capsule for our wi-fi access along with the cable modem from our ISP (Charter/Spectrum). Ethernet speeds were good, getting the full 100/10 on the two PC's we had connected that way. Wi-fi speeds were maxed at around 35 Mbps using the dated Apple product. It's probably 10 years old or more. Range was also an issue, good towards the front of the house where the router was and not so good towards rear. Recently we upgraded our internet service to the gigabit service (940/35). Using that old Apple not only was the wi-fi still tied to the slower speed and iffy range but the ethernet speeds were not what I was expecting, maxing out at 150/35. Bypassing the Apple, directly connecting cable modem to PC the speeds, were there. I decided it was time for an upgrade to the wi-fi router. Enter the Netgear Orbi. Ethernet speeds are blazing and wi-fi range and speed is night and day better. Using the Orbi router on one end of the house, and one satellite on the other connectivity issues are gone. Needless to say the wi-fi speeds are a major improvement as well depending on the device connected. My son's Laptop can now hit 700-800 Mbps on the far end of the house. Two floors down in the laundry room or down one floor at street level or in the driveway the Orbi network is strong and fast. We haven't had it long so it's too early to tell if issues will crop up but so far the Orbi has exceeded expectations.

Works good, 2 satellites might've been better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the router and one satellite ($199) for a 3,4000 square foot home (supposed to work for up to 3500 sq. ft.). While the satellite does link on the 2nd level of my home, it only provides about 50% of speed to the furthest corner rooms on that level. This is still a big upgrade from before when I had near dead zones in these areas. Long story short, I'm happy with the product because it is reliable and everybody is streaming nicely, but I probably should've opted for the 2 satellite package to have a more true mesh feeling. Consider the 2 satellite package if you have a bigger or two-story home.

Don’t listen to the sales rep
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my research ahead of time and thought this was what I was looking for. I usually order online, but decided to stop in the store to actually see it in person ahead of time. The sales rep was clueless. She started off with a lot of assumptions of what I was looking for, and it didn’t sound like she even had WiFi herself. It was comically bad. Bought this dispite her “advice,” and I’ve been impressed. Easy to set up. I probably should have gone up one model to get addition lan ports, but no big deal. Strong signal and no more issues with connectivity dropping.

Good System
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This system has worked well for me. It is able to grab the internet signal up to 150 ft away from the house without problems. I am unable to change the password on the system.

Perfect for my house
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The RBK20W is a newer model of the RBK30 and has better specs than the RBK30 (more memory but the same Wireless specs). I highly recommend. I have a gigabit internet connection and I get ~300Mbps to my room, which is in the furthest corner away from the base. I easily pull in 600Mbps near my base while it serve 14 other devices including a 4K Apple TV, a PS4, and many phones. That's super impressive. Tip: I was running into some issues with my Macbook's not connecting to the 5GHz channel. The issue was that in my 2200Sq. Ft house, the router and satellite were too close. The 5GHz channels were interfering with each other. Solution is to either separate the base and satellite further or turn down the Transmit (Tx) power in advanced settings.

Great investment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Orbi mesh system. Got tired of paying for my internet providers equipment and not getting the internet speeds I am paying for, so worth it! I no longer have to hear my husband and son complain about connection service when they play online. This system tripled my internet connection and the set up was very easy.

Great speed and coverage improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old setup of router and extender was getting slower and slower, so, upon the advice of my techie son I bought a mesh system. The sales associate at Best Buy was very knowledgeable and advised me in selecting the one most appropriate to my needs. She pointed out that bigger is NOT better when it comes to mesh systems. You need the appropriate one. The Orbi installation was a snap. Very user friendly as the Orbi app steps you through the process. For anyone content to use the unique default SSID and password, it's a 10 minute job, much of it waiting for the router and satellite to do their things. Selecting your own SSID and password is easily done through the Orbi app. Connecting our two iPhones and two iPads was a snap using Apple’s password sharing. Since I changed my network name (had to, since my previous setup had two network names), I had to reconnect my computers and printer. Another three minute job. I’m very happy I did this. My upload and download speeds are much improved.

Totally Satisfied
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a long home, 2 adults, 2 college grads, 4 teenagers, and a host of friends and relatives that use my WiFi connection when they are around. Not to mention I run a business from my home. My previous extender left us wanting to throw things at the wall. I haven't heard one complaint since installing the Orbi. The setup was very easy. I'm just mad I didn't get it sooner. It is worth the price for the quality.
