Purchased Orbi to replace a old WiFi system I had. Ok easy to setup and streamed WiFi all over my home.

I had high hopes for this product as it was recommended to me by two salespeople at the store. It was $100 less than the same number of pieces of a eero wifi set which was a main router and two similar plug in modules. I set everything up according to the directions (easy set up) and then started working to get optimum distances, coverage, etc. I could not seem to get a very good coverage with this kit as what I had recalled getting with a number of eero setups I had previously installed in clients homes. In fairness, I want to point out that I have used eero products numerous times and have found them to be excellent in places where cat5 has not been run so it is needed to use something like their wireless products. I had considered that it could be unfamiliarity that was not letting me get the best of Orbi but I'm pretty experienced in network structure and implementation so I honestly think I gave them a pretty good shot. At any rate I ended up insatlling a set of eeros (one main router and two additional plug in modules) into same exact house and instantly had far better results and was actually able to extend network to upstairs easily and with great reception and network speed recorded than I had expected.

Replaced my Apple AirPort Extreme and a Wi-Fi Extender and works as advertised... very happy with the system so far!

Have owned this product for 2 months. No dead spots and gets great coverage for 2500 sq. ft home.

We have a metal roof and a good size home and this has helped tremendously. Love the design too!

Works great, just needs to play around with location of satellite to ensure best coverage throughout house.

Used this to replace multiple wireless access points that were competing with each other. I now have a reliable high speed connection in all areas of our 3 level house without dropouts and a single wireless network name. Speeds are the same as my wired connection (100 down and up). Only issue I've seen is that one of the satellites intermittently shows "config sync" instead of the connection signal strength. It does not seem to affect performance, but it is pretty weird. Unplugging the satellite and plugging it back in gets it back to normal. Appears to be a firmware issue. Otherwise, highly recommended!

Easy to set up and use. Not sure why there are a minimum number of characters required for a BestBuy product review, so I am just filling space.

The quick reference guide made it easy to install the orbit it definitely made a difference in the Wi-Fi

I bought this mesh network to move my network into something more robust considering more and more IoT and smart devices are present in my home. I wanted to simplify by having one SSID, increase coverage, and increase, or maintain, throughput from a built-in wifi system in a modem/router. As a standalone intranet system, this is a nice idea. However, from an internet enabled solution, it is sad and frustrating. I've ran It in router and AP modes and both have the same issues. It has constant disconnects from the modem that it's connected directly to (gigabit) and requires restarts of the router every day or 2. This is non-functional if you stream in your household. Sometimes, the errors it spews are so many the modem has to be shutdown for a minute to clear the errors because it locks up the modem and no devices have internet access, including direct connect devices. I have a highend modem that has been checked with another high-end modem of a different brand and this persists. Peak times, there are 38 devices connected to it with streaming from 2 devices. All of these work with the built-in wifi from the modem without issue. When I reconnect Orbi, the problems startup again. If you're looking for a mesh system, I recommend something else and hopefully you have better fortune. I have over 22 years experience in enterprise networking and telecommunication solutions. I had hoped commercial mesh networking would have been much better than this is from a well known brand designer but sadly it is not there yet. Mesh wifi, like single point wifi, has but a couple of requirements. Accept device connections, network connected devices, and access the internet reliably. This does the first 2 well but is unreliable on the third.
