Customers are saying

Customers highly value the Orbi Tri-Band AC2200 Mesh WiFi System's extensive coverage, ease of use, and strong signal strength, frequently praising its simple setup and improved range compared to previous systems. Many appreciate the system's performance and reliable WiFi for multiple devices. While some experienced connection difficulties and noted the higher price point, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns.

This is sn expensive system that does not cover 4000 sq ft. It has a horrible management app and of course, Netgear customer service is abhorrent!

This thing was awful and I ended up returning it the same day. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on the eero system.

Great Wi-Fi Mesh Network for Everyone

Disclaimer first: I received this unit to beta test. I have a single story home around 1500 sqft and a lot of walls. This setup covers every inch of my home including the backyard, my detached garage, my front yard, side yard, you get the picture. Setting this up is very simple. You can either use the Orbi App (I have an iPhone) or via a web browser. In my experience, the app works solidly when setting up the network for the first time. I got mine connected in as little as 15 minutes. I have not had a reason to reboot the modem/router for at least 2 months. I have Spectrum Cable internet rated at 100/10 and I get around 116/11 everywhere inside the house and close to that when I'm in the backyard or front. It's a plus that the units look good as well. You won't need to hide the satellite from plain sight since it looks refined and clean. Overall this is a solid product for all types of consumers. I highly recommend this.

    Couldnt be happier

Couldn't be happier with our Netgear Orbi. We preferred this one for Spectrum because of the integrated cable modem. It did require some back and forth with Spectrum to get it activated, but that's not Netgear's fault. Otherwise the setup wizard in teh app was a breeze. The app is excellent and certainly helps justify the added cost of the idem. Even without the satellite, the base would have enough range for my 2500 square foot home. I look forward to purchasing the Outdoor Satellite as well.

I have this unit in my house. I have the router upstairs in my office and the satellite downstairs in my den. I get rock solid connection all over my house. I am on Spectrum 100/10 and with their overhead I am getting 117/11 all over my house including my back yard. Very good system for those that are novices at networking. **Disclaimer - I received this unit free for beta testing the unit.

It comes with 1 router and 1 satellite which give 2.2 per second . This covers 3500 square foot at home and no dead spot.it is good for the price range and worth it to purchase. It is good for video games.

    Bad Modem

This system worked great for a week then it started having constant issues maintaining the modem connection with Comcast XFinity. Never had issues with Comcast's XB6 high end rental. System would lose connection 2-4 times a day then reset and start working again, I know this was not a heating issue because I mounted the base and the satellite up on the wall where it would get good airflow. Returned it and got the Arris SB 8200 modem with the regular AC3000 Orbi system and it's working much better now, 2in1 combo's just aren't reliable!

    Avoid NetGear Brand !!!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have bought that product because some part of my house got dead signal. Upon receiving this product and activated with my ISP, signal on this modem frequently drop every 7-8 minutes (yes I have checked the log of that modem and it does say Internet connected and internet disconnected), but my 2 years old modem router (Motorola) works fine. Their tech support from India are joke and they have no clue on how to fix it. I did hard reset and soft reset as well. I have called internet provider to come over to my house and take a look into it, and he bought 2 different modem and it works fine. Turns out that I got defective item. Thanks Netgear for wasting my 2 days of time. Internet provider tech suggest to buy modem and Wi-Fi mesh router separately and NOT two in one. He also suggested to avoid Netgear brand as lots of their customers having same problem. Also after i registered their product on netgear website for warranty, they have also removed my warranty because I have entered the serial number wrong so that led me to another hassle and headache. FYI, my internet provider is Grande Communications. Please avoid Netgear Brand for your cable modem combo!!! This product is so pricey that i was expecting this to cover 2 years warranty not just 1 year warranty. I am so lucky that this device stopped working on me within my amazon return, otherwise my whole money would have gone down in drain if it stopped working on me after 1 year warranty.

Hidden Cost and In App Purchases

    Posted .

Very disappointed that the cost to use the Circle Feature for family monitoring is not disclosed on the box. Also as a family control device I am not happy that I have to turn on In App Purchases to use the service. I think most parents turn off In App Purchases when they have kids that could accidentally make Purchases when using their own or parents device. Final complaint is Netgear block the using of its own parent control features and forces the use of Circle that forces a subscription and In App Purchases. None of the is truly a family friendly service.

It looks great, cost twice as much is it's worth. But it's performance is lacking Cons: 1. Speed with Cox is around 200mbps advertised speed is above 400mbps 2. Made in Vietnam. 3. Netgear support is non existent. 4. Phone app is not 100% works 50%. 5. Cable connect is hard to reach. 6. Extenders turn off by themselves Pros: None
