This router is very fast - when it works. It constantly drops the wi-fi signal and apparently the wired signal as well. I have it upstairs in a 1100 square ft apartment and it does provide signal in the area, it just drops out constantly. I will be watching Netflix using wi-fi and the signal will drop with the router only 10 feet away from the TV. I have a satellite downstairs and it constantly disconnects. I have the latest firmware and have tried different channels for the wi-fi. It dropped out less when I first got it (about 3 months ago) and has now increase the frequency of drop out. I even connected a wired Netgear extender to help with the wi-fi, but the signal to the extender drops out as well. I had better wi-fi with my Comcast supplied Aris unit. I would not recommend this unit to anyone and wish that there was a longer window for returns. 14 days is not enough time to test this unit.

I bought this unit ($400) thinking I was upgrading from another Netgear product (Nighthawk-$300) after reading all the reviews. It has been three weeks now and most of devises are working fine, still having intermittent problems with my TV and I can't connect to one of my Ring devices. Netgear tech support says I need to reconfigure my ip address, CableONe says that I don't. Geek squad chat line came up with nothing, hung up after waiting 10+ mins with BBGS, I'm about to try calling them again, lets see what happens,,,,,,

I was having connection issues within my apartment. This device helped fix that.

Like the easy setup. The coverage area is great. The app that goes with the device is easy to use.

Great system however didnt work for me simply because Orbi decides how to connect 2.4 or 5ghz which may or may not work on your devices.. I also had issues with speeds slowing down because it changes the connection to those frequencies automatically. But that was for my setup, could be great for another situation. Strong signal everywhere.

Easy to set up. Affordable. Only improvement needed is 802.11 ax support.

This system is far superior to the ones rented by cable companies and others available for sale on the market. I have purchased two sets of these for smart houses that I have sold. Works with both cable and satellite services giving the maximum versatility to the buyer. Easy install and manage, plus provides the benefit of Mesh W-Fi.
