I used it to hard wire my desktop computer for steady internet connection. It works for the purpose. Although the price is a bit expensive.

So, I have a 2nd computer in my office that runs Linux. Could NOT get any wireless action to work. Plugged these bad boys in and just plugged in via RJ-45 and I have upwards of 80gig speeds. Amazing and so simple it's ridiculous. When you want to move on from trying to get a wireless connection to work and you have other stuff to get done, these are a no-brainer.

This was the perfect solution to my video conferencing problems. I was able to set up a wired connection away from my modem. Easy to setup. No more screen freezing or poor connection messages when doing live video conferencing! Definitely would but again.

This item is perfect if you just happen to have a computer without wifi. We have wifi, but had a computer without the ability to connect to it. We bought this in the store and it has solved all problems connecting to our wifi. You just plug into an outlet and it connects with the signal. You also have to have the modem plugged into an outlet in the house. Great buy for the price.

I had the AV500 and wanted to upgrade due to having to reset the AV500 frequently due to loss of connectivity. Since purchasing the Powerline 1200, I have not had any issues and the speed has been remarkable. You will never get close to the 1,200 Mbps, but it does a good job at about half that rate.

I never knew how slow my internet was before i got this product. In fact, i didn't know a product like this existed before i got it. My internet speed is much faster! No more dosing off waiting for a video or game to load. It's like magic: as soon as i click on something it's almost up and running in an instant.

Simple to set up. Since I have a large house with many areas of interference, my Wi-Fi router tended to leave dead spots. Now I can set up separate internet hubs at any part of the house by using the electrical wiring in my house.

After reading reviews about how intermittent these devices are, I wasn’t sure how well it would work. I located an outlet that appeared to be connected directly to the other outlet and can say with confidence that it’s been working flawlessly. My latency is much lower than WiFi and my speeds are maxed out.

Had to purchase for my at-home job. It’s great if you need to move your office anywhere in the house! Another benefit was that the wifi became stronger in the dead zones of my house. If you work from home, I would definitely recommend. It’s easy to set up and great for dead zones!

Early on in my project to remodel a room, I learned that I would need to reconsider my home networking layout in order to add a reliable network connection to this part of my house. Since I was gutting the whole room anyway, I played with the idea of running a dedicated network cable instead of relying on my wireless network signal because this room would house my media server. This meant I needed to relocate the wireless router closer to the room so that I did not have to run cable through the attic, which meant I needed to move the location of the modem, etc etc. What was supposed to be a simple addition to the project became a headache! I used to own old powerline adapters for land lines that I tried to use for a dial-up modem and I remember that being a nightmare in terms of reliability, so I was very resistant to buy a powerline adapter this time around. However, much of my research online showed me that the technology has changed a lot since the models from so many years ago. This model was within my price point and since my wireless router had a gigabit connection as did my motherboard, it made the most sense to get a gigabit powerline adapter. I'm sure glad I did! I do not experience any latency or connectivity or bottleneck issues on my desktop and media streams/ files transfer as if I was physically connected to the router itself! It was a breeze to use, as well, simply plug it in. Couldn't be happier!

Got this for a temporary hookup until I ran my router cat7 cable. It works so good, I didn't bother running anything. I didn't notice any loss in the wifi signal. I read a bunch of reviews about this product but I have had no trouble with it. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a good wifi signal to the other side of a house.

This was the second time that I purchased these. They help fix my gaming system wifi connection problems. While great for that, I do wish they could generate more speed through the electrical wiring in the house. Lag is sometimes a problem, versus a continuous problem.

This item was exactly what I needed. I needed to connect a work device via ethernet cable to my home internet and Best Buy gave the perfect fix. Otherwise, I would have had a 60 ft. Plus I would have had a cable running down my hallway! Love this device and works perfectly!!

Easy to set up. Ability to plug in a wired connection is a bonus. Only downside to most of these extenders is that it sets up a new wifi network. I have this unit plugged into the basement. My laptop and phone tends to jump back and forth between networks.
