Works as intended. I was able to secure a very good ethernet connection between the router and a gateway modem on different floors. Easy to set up and use.

Was looking for a way to extend my networking into the living room as a wifi extender just wouldn't cut it. Medium tech level to install - other than that works great - Family is now enjoying netflix with no problems.

Living in a two story house can be troublesome with the demands of today's technology, particularly our connection to the internet. How can we possibly accommodate our gaming and streaming needs? Fear not, you can have an Ethernet port wherever you have an electrical outlet. My brother's room is in the basement and our router is located on the first floor, it has a priority there for other devices that need the direct connection. We even have a Nighthawk router, which is fantastic, but my brother's gaming had too much lag. With the easy set up of the Netgear Powerline 1200, his computer was connected by Ethernet to the router and the ping dramatically decreased. I plan on buying more Netgear Powerlines for when I move into an apartment or house and can't reach the router from every room. Seriously, buy a Powerline.

Not as strong as the 2000

If you're trying to decided between the 1200 and the 2000 please read this. In my experience there is a big difference in capability between the 1200 and the 2000. I originally bought the 1200 but returned it for the 2000. I pay for 150mbs speed internet. With the 1200 I was getting speeds of 70mbs on a different floor. With the 2000 I get 130mbs on a different floor (tested the same outlet). Thats almost doubling my speed and the price difference is only $10-$20. Some may so you won't notice a difference but to me I want to get as close to speeds that I'm paying.

Needed a system that connected the modem to a Sorenson video system located at the other end of the home. This was the perfect solution. The video is clear and it is a very robust system. Very easy to set up in 15 minutes.

This technology has improved to the point it is really usable. I had an odd dead space in back of the house and used this to put an old router in operation to cover it. Can't tell any speed difference between original and old router speeds.

I should just travel with an extra set of these. Every time I visit friends or my in-laws, I end up installing a pair of Powerline adapters to help improve the internet in the house. Plug and play, easy.

This Ethernet adapter works just as well as a direct cable. You just hook it up to house power by plugging it in to the wall. At the other end you plug it in again and then attach it to the back of your TV.

I didn't want to run an ethernet cable around the walls of my house or move my modem and router away from several device that need the direct connection more, and these solved that no problem. Connection is no slower for me, but will largely depend on the quality of wiring in the walls.

I've tried wireless range extenders and found them not to add enough range with a strong enough signal. Bought these as an alternative. Set up was simple. Still testing the range but so far so good. Ultimately I am shooting for around 200 feet measured on the path of the electrical wiring.

this does exactly what it says it will do... I am using it to use my comcast in a front room of the house. Mine shows red which means low internet service but I am still able to watch what I want without a lag.

Have internet modem downstairs and need internet upstairs in my room. Been looking for a solution. Then I came upon this. This solved all of my issues, though I don't get the exact speeds we're paying for, I cannot complain one bit.

I purchased the Netgear Powerline 1200 kit to replace an Actiontec powerline network adapter which was damaged during an electrical storm. The Powerline 1200 has performed flawlessly and has much better speed (at an admittedly higher price) than the Actiontec adapter. Very happy with purchase.

This product makes thing so easy. All you have to do is pug it into your router and pug the other end into Near the object that needs internet and Walla it works. Better than using wires all around your house or business ..

I just wish the local BestBuy had the version with an extra outlet in stock. I will buy from elsewhere (or online). I followed the instructions, and they worked perfectly from completion of the task. I have not had to touch either unit. Much easier to use than the previous system I had.
