I have a setup in my room and was looking for a solution to get internet connection from the router in my basement to my pc on the second floor. The power line works well, I get adequate ping and upload however download speeds are slightly slow (it may be my house rather than the adapter I'm not sure). There are times when the connection cuts out for a few seconds, but those occurrences are quite rare. Overall good solution.

The connection definitely works, with only minimal difference in ping from direct Ethernet connection (no more than 5 ms). My one disappointment is that the hardware is relatively large compared to many outlets so it is hard to find an open space to plug this in. You need the bottom outlet to be open, or you need there to be at least two open outlets in order to fit the bulky hardware.

Just plug an ethernet cable into the router and the plug, plug it into a socket and do the same into the TV voila ethernet applied without running a full ethernet through the house.

We installed this to extend the coverage of internet to our media room which was out of range of wi-fi and it works very well. The distance from the router is about 70 feet and we still get HD streams to the room.

I bought this to connect an old Desktop in a room with no Ethernet drop. I have a WiFi dongle but the signal is low: 10 Mbps or so. Using this, I get about 40 Mbps on the other side of the house. Better than before with WiFi, so I'm not complaining. I feel the price is a little high for what it does, but technology that serves a purpose is rarely cheap.
I think the over-blown "Theoretical Speed" thing is BS, you can get the same speed with the cheaper Power Line 1000, saving $6. If you need it, buy it. Otherwise use wireless.

We have a 2 story house with my home office up stairs and my husband's gaming room downstairs. He needed the modem downstairs, but I have a desktop that doesn't use wifi. We bought these to allow me to connect to the internet. They work well. They do randomly go offline sometimes, but that's possibly my internet connection and not the devices because that happens with my wifi too. The signal isn't as strong as plugging right into the modem, but that will happen anytime you have a bridge between devices. This is a great product. It replaced something similar that our internet provider used that had a really weak signal. Netgear doesn't disappoint.

This product is seriously powerful. Being able to get my internet downstairs in the configuration of our house makes this great. I use this with a Gigabit switch to my ps4 xbone and ps3 and apple tv. It gets me easily over the 100mbps with no issues. No dropouts. Only thing is aesthetics are off. Don't expect to plug anything else in your light switch thus thing is bigger than just the one switch but we'll worth it. And you never want to plug these into a power strip or you will lose speed. Minor thing keeping this from perfect

I have an older house and for some reason the Netgear kept saying I had a line fault. It would not produce gigabit speeds. I took it back and purchased the TP-Link which has no issues with my old house and I get lightening fast speeds.
I purchased this one over the TP-Link because it does not block the top half of the power outlet. It's small and compact. The TP-Link is bulky and although it has a plug on the front so that you don't lose an outlet, it blocks the top half of the outlet.

I bought a new big screen smart TV for my basement and fixed up the decor intending for the family & friends to spend quality time there, when we found out the WiFi signal was weak to non-existent. The router was on the top floor and I was running out of options, when I read about Netgear powerline adapters. The 1200 I got from BestBuy has been fantastic so far - really turned an abandoned 'finished' basement to a party hub. We spend our movie nights there. My daughter actually had her friends over for her birthday and they thoroughly enjoyed it. No trouble at all installing it at either end and it is literally plug and play. Wonderful product!!

Had one room in the house that would not get a very good signal no matter what we tried. This took care of that issue. Basically no setup and super easy to get up and running.

I was looking for something to get better reception to my laptop in the garage. Part of the requirement was I needed dual voltage (110-220V) as I would be moving to a country that had 220V. Range Boosters/extenders didn't meet this, plus it would still be wireless (slower). This item plugs into a regular outlet and uses the house electrical wiring to get you the signal. Works great. I went from 2.7mbps to 23.2mbps. And, I'm currently using them in said country at 220V on a power strip (not surge protector) and it works great.

I was skeptical about the device, but thought I'd give it a try. If you need to network a part of your home and office and do not want to run wires through the ceiling and walls, this device works. It does not provide the speed as a dedicated Ethernet cable. But, it is fine for viewing web pages, e-mail... etc. It seems to be able to handle some video and audio streaming. The signal does fade out on occasion. It literally is plug and play and being able to add multiple adapters is also a nice feature.
