    I purchased this router to replace a D-Link that got fried during a lighting storm. It was difficult to set up, and I had to call customer service. Customer service wasn't good at all, and had me on the phone for hours with no good resolution. Ultimately, I returned this router and bought a D-Link again (with much better results and MUCH better US based customer service).

    I would go with a mesh network instead. Best Buy has some good choices for mess network and if you prefer Netgear, they do also make mesh network devices.

    In order to setup, you have to download an app to your smartphone, tablet, or whatever. Kinda dumb way to set up a device to get on the internet.

    Since this was connected my Alexa will not play music without pauses and skips. No problems with spoken word, just music. Very frustrating!!

    Worked OK for about a year and then it had trouble detecting things on my network then stopped working all together. Would not acquire IP and could not login to it. GSP'd for a Linksys. Linksys is better and has prioritization, a nifty feature if you have people hogging the bandwidth at the house.
