Easy setup makes it plug and play

This fixed the problems with connection and boosted signal for all downstairs. Plugged it in, pressed a button on the front, pressed a button on my router, and it was connected. Pointed everyone to new network, and we were in business. No fuss, no muss. Love it.

installed quickly and easily

Before, we had good wi-fi reception immediately upstairs over where the router was, but in adjacent rooms, reception was very poor. The fact that the router is in the basement where the co-ax comes in, meant great reception downstairs, but not up.

But if you live in more than 1400sq ft, and are trying to get the corner room on the 2nd floor, that connection may not be strong enough and you'll need a stronger wifi extender.

No encrypted admin password - no starter

No cutter, it was obvious what I had to do to connect it to the network. However, there was no way to tell it to admin login via https.only. All my routers had many options for admin login. Not this extender. This was a deal breaker so I returned it. So it's useless from my point of view, but since it is not bad otherwise I have to give it three stars. Also, I am not happy with the approach - creating a new network instead of extending the current one, but it seems that most extenders do that. That was not a deal breaker, but it needs to be mentioned since it's important. There are extenders that extend the existing network.
