    I can not recomend the Netgear universal wi-fi dual band range extender, because after I installed the extender the whole wi-fi in the house slowed down

    I work with computers for a living. Well the old saying is true, you get what you pay for. I have no walls or anything blocking the signal on this device. I have benchmarked it at 3 different locations (besides my home). The range extension on this unit is below average at best. I should have spent a little more and gone with the better range extender. My advice is to stay away from this device.

    Decent. Doesn't boost my signal much. Since my modem had to be placed down stairs, I bought this to reach rooms upstairs. Upstairs signal is still very weak.
