Range extender works great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My cable modem/wireless router is in the corner of the basement, so I was not getting a signal in my family room on the first floor on the other side of the house or in our bedroom on the second floor. Very frustrating! It was especially bad with our iPad. I first got a different extender but it "was not compatible with our modem/router". More frustration! The BestBuy salesman recommended this extender. I got it up and running in less than 10 minutes, and it covers all corners of our house, even for our iPad! I am impressed. I am not sure if I needed the Dual Band version, but since it works great, I don't care. Getting a strong wireless signal throughout your house should not have to cost so much (since I get stronger signals in some parts of my house with neighbors' routers), but that's how it goes. If someone needs to extend their wireless signal in their house, this one works very well.

Works great right out of the box - 3 min setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed something to assist with boosting the signal to my study and my media room b/c the wireless access point from AT&T wasn't doing it. This is performing very well and has given me the opportunity to connect my kids phones and devices only to the new network name. They are happy, I'm happy. Oh, and using the same password as an option was a huge bonus. I'd get this again in a second.

Easy to install, works as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wireless router is in the basement and we wanted to be able to use devices outdoors hence the purchase. Brought it home and had the updates installed and the extender running in under an hour. I get full wireless coverage all the way to the bottom of my yard.

Easiest device I've ever installed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We added an art studio to our home for my wife's glassworks. She was always complaining about the quality of the Internet in her room - so I purchased the netgear dual band range extender. Five minutes after I opened the box it was working! All I had to do was search for our network recognize it and add some password protection. Total time was about 10 minutes! I wish everything was that easy! She now has full bars on both 5ghz & 2.5ghz and is a very happy camper.

Works greaty!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this device! I purchased to replace a defective USB network adapter. Since the primary pupose was to use with devices that did not have wireless capabilities the size does not bother me at all.... Now I went from 1 USB network adapter controling one device to having the extender with 3 devices. Could not be happier.

Easy setup, works flawlessly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought a much more expensive AC netgear router to expand the reach of my network but I wasn't blown away with its preformance. So, I opted to return that router and bought this network extender instead. Setup was easy and it's been working prefectly since I installed it.

Excellent for what it's intended to do
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a large beach front building and we have wifi available but only laptops are able to bring in a strong signal. Other devices such as phones and game consoles lack the necessary antenna strength. The Netgear extender picks up the signal and redistributes it throughout our condo. It's rather easy to setup and does exactly as advertised.

Great extender. Does the job right
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this is a perfect example of quality for price. Pay the extra bit and you get great service. Easy to set up and very reliable. Extends network through brick walls perfectly. Only downside is I'm not getting a huge amount of MB/s. Max dl speed 355 KB/s. Other than that, its great.

Installed easily with only a small issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This network extender set up easily. I had one small problem when setting it up but going back a step and trying something slightly different fixed it - no calls needed to tech support. I wish it had a longer power cord - I had to plug it in to an extension cord in order to put it in the area I wanted to. It works fine with our FIOS router and we've had no problems printing from a laptop logged in to the "extended" network to the printer on the "primary" network.

Constantly loses connection to main router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Essentially unusable. It will work fine for a while, but drops the connection to the router (which is literally right below it in the lower level), and won't reestablish on its own. Nice that you can wire things to it to make them wireless, but being have to connect to my network itself over Ethernet or at least reliably would be nice.

Just excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a problem accessing mywifiext.net to setup the extender.. I have to use 192.168.1.250 to access the browser setup. But once setup this works excellent.. The selling point for me is its Dual Band.Im using a netgear R6300 as the main wireless router.

Great Booster
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having issues with getting a good signal to the other end of the house so I did some research and stumbled across this device. It works very well and no more issues!! Set up was very easy and it didn't take long.

As Expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works quite well to link between your router and device. Place somewhere between half to 2/3rds of the way toward device (although the connection status is seen directly on the extender and will decrease as you move it away from the router so it's easy to figure out). Mine was push button connection so I didn't have to use the website which was nice.

Good option in "wi-fi heavy" areas
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been satisfied so far after having this for a little over a month. I live in an apartment complex and due to interference from other routers, signal strength varies a lot as you leave the room from where its located in. It gets frustrating a lot of times when you can see the router but have difficulty connecting especially when you're just a room away. Luckily, not too many people use or have 5GHz so I set this up to connect to my Belkin router using that frequency and broadcast on both 2.4 and 5GHz since not all of my devices are capable of connecting at 5GHz. I did a store pick-up and Best Buy almost gave me the wrong item. They were apologetic and corrected it as people do make mistakes. Its easy to mistake this item for a router so its worth verifying your purchase to save yourself a bit of hassle later.

Does The Job
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device does exactly what it is supposed to do, extend the range of the WiFi within the home. However, it also significantly cut my download/upload speeds, nearly by half to be exact. Whether you were connected to the range extender or the original router, the overall speed was much slower. This may be useful for those who have a much faster services, but it was not very helpful for me.

Good Network Connection = quality Internet speeds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because I was getting a low wireless signal in my office space at home. It was getting such a poor signal, my computer would disconnect from it. After doing some research i bought this based on the positive reviews of a product by a well-known company. Even though the 2wire ATT U-verse gateway doesn't have 5Ghz transmission, it is still worth getting the dual band because you can set it up in FastLane mode which uses the extenders 2.5Ghz antenna to connect to your gateway/router, and resends the signal out on a 5Ghz frequency. I pay for 16mbps internet, and I was getting 12-14mbps on the standard extenders settings, but when i enabled FastLane mode, i was getting 15.2mbps. Great product, VERY easy to install, EXCELLENT results!
