5 GHz WiFi signal failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This could have been a great product. It was easy to set up. When it worked, it worked very well. But shortly after I set it up, the 5 GHz WiFi signal failed and nothing would restore it. Kudos to Best Buy on good customer service. I returned the product and they gave me a full refund with no questions asked and no hassles.

Easy setup, horrible range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a small loft in the city and wanted to extend my wifi out to the pool (40 feet away). I stream Pandora on my squeezebox connected to my hotspot on my nexus phone and have wanted to connect to my wifi instead. I got this unit today, setup was super easy but one room away inside my loft (reminder: no walls, one big open room), 15' from this and my signal was 45%. Went out to the pool, I could see the zero bar signal but nothing would connect. I'm not telling you to buy it or not buy it, I'm just saying from a technical standpoint, it doesn't repeat anything greater than my existing Cisco router.

Unreliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently relocated my home office and the signal to my Netgear wifi router was a little weak. I purchased the Netgear extender in the hopes that it would easily integrate with it's sister device. The setup is easy - if you're OK using the wizards - which I did. However, in the 4 months I've owned it, I find myself disconnecting from the repeater and connecting directly to the main router because the repeater will either drop my connection - with full bars or the lag is too much to bear. Additionally, my iOS devices don't operate well when connected to it. As soon as I can find a known working solution, I'm going to replace it. Avoid.

Trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The manual for my WN2500RP Range Extenger states on page 9 "Tip: You can always access the Extender settings again by typing www.mywifiext.net in your browser URL bar." However, this only leads to an auto redirect to the completely useless Netgear website. And calling Netgear customer care only puts you on holde listing to useless drivel for 15 minutes to get connected to an non English speaking inividual who hangs up on you. Perfectly useless piece of trash.

Unreliable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned mine now for close to 1 year. I have Comcast/Xfiniti so that's half of my problem right there. This wireless range extender is expensive and meaningfully poor in quality. The instructions are terrible. Very unreliable. It weakens the signal as it passes through so your download Mbps will be awful. Don't buy this garbage.

The range extender is supposed to add to the range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Netgear N600 router that is supposed to cover a large house. I found out that it's range is poor. Only 30 feet away a drop off of signal and at 50 feet none. I bought this range extender to be able to get wifi all over my house. I am very disappointed with both of the units. The extender did not move the range much over 20 more feet. Both are advertised as whole house and ever two stories. My home is one story.

do you like products that don't work?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to restart it 4 times yesterday, and I lost track today of how many times I had to restart it. I'm thinking a long Ethernet chord would have been a better investment

The product does not perform well.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device requires an excellent signal in order to broadcast a signal of any quality. Issues with maintaining IP address assignment. Device would lose connection frequently.

Could not get it hooked up.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could not get it to connect with my system. Neither Best buy's nor AT&T's help desks could help, so I took it back.
