    For extender mode, what this device does is grab the SSID from your main router and act as a 'bridge' to that router and re-broadcasts the signal with it's own hardware over another SSID. It works well if the new said is different from ur routers ssid

    This product is something good to have around the house. I have notice d faster download speeds and connections time when doing things on my laptop through wifi and my Xbox through direct connect.

    I bought this to extend my wi-if in our second floor. It took a ling time with customer service in the phone to set up. Now sometimes we can't get a signal from it in our second floor. But it was relatively inexpensive .
