Good range extender for my needs Great price!

The cable modem is in the basement due to the need for a phone line. We are now able to get great reception on the second floor of our large house. We don't do a lot of gaming but we do stream videos and have been very pleased with the improved performance since installing this.

Confusing Setup, but Good Product

The instructions were not very good and it was not intuitive. For such a simple product, the setup should have been simpler.

Worked great as Access Point for Desk Top without

The NETGEAR Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender acted as a Access Point with it linked wirelessly to the Hot Spot and the connected to the Desktop Computer through an Ethernet cable. Setup was pretty simple for me doing something like this for the first time.

We had issues with speed on our electronics in the kitchen/living room. It was fairly easy to set up and get connected (approx. 45 mins start to finish). We immediately noticed a major boost in the WiFi speed. Would highly recommend!

Not that Effective

After some spotty results and conclusion from tech support that the unit was defective, we returned it. Reverting to a better router solved the issue and we no longer needed the extender.
