Works as Advertised

While I've had problems with network extenders in the past, I decided to give this one a try and I'm glad I did. It was easy to install and has provided consistent signal strength in this previously "dark" portion of the house.

Netgear - Universal Wi-Fi range extender

Just turn on, set the physical switch to access point mode and attach an ethernet cable to it from a router/switch and viola you have an instant wifi hotspot. The setup was easy using the browser URL. Range is good. I work in a office and I can access nearly full speed at a distance of 100 feet through a couple drywall walls.

It also needed to create a separate SSID. Maybe because my router is a few years old. Other that that, it works great. I'm glad I tried this first instead of replacing my router.

Awesome way to get better coverage in your home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After finding out that my power jacks would not longer work with AT&T uverse, this was recommended to me by a best buy associate. In 10 minutes I was able to set it up using my iPhone and had coverage throughout my home. The router was installed in one corner of the house and we had poor reception at the other end of about 2900 sq feet. Now we are able to stream tv and run several devices at the same time

Was a little difficult to get started, instructions could be better, but once started seems to work ok for what I needed.
