Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender's ease of use, Wi-Fi range, and signal strength. Many appreciate its quick setup, compact size, and good performance for the price. However, some experienced connection instability, and compatibility issues were also reported by a few users. The Ethernet port was a welcome feature for some.

I believe this was the least expensive extender my best buy had and it works great! Our house is about 1600 sqft and our main modem/router is in the game room (front of the house) so we needed an extender if we wanted wifi in bedroom (back of the house). This extender works very well .

It has helped extend the range of our wifi in the house but not quite as far as i expected. Still, satisfactory.

It's easy to set up! Just the Signal sometimes a little weak at time but I do live in a large house! Think might be more Usable in a small house!

We recently moved to a new home where I did get a higher internet speed but for some reason signal did not get to the rooms. We got the extender and help with the problem.

Main cable source/modem in basement. Wifi was weak, dropping signal on 3rd level. Extender installed on 3rd level after pairing up with modem. Excellent wifi with 5 bars on 3rd level for a month now. Great purchase choice & inexpensive. Amplified wifi exceded expectations...

We were having a problem with WiFi reception near the kitchen and living room area as the WiFi modem was in the bedroom. This WiFi extender solves the issue.

When we added onto our house, we realized that our bedroom was really far from our office where our wifi router was located. This WIFI extender was a perfect and inexpensive way to establish service in the back area of our house. Very easy to set up, especially for a "non-techie" like me...

It works and does the trick. But it's kinda slow. Get the more pricier one . Also try it to have many things connected to it

The product works great extending the wireless network in my 2 story house. It was challenging to set up had to call the help line. Took 1/2 to figure it out. Need to change the location of the unit to get a stronger signal during setup. The netgear help staff was very good helping figure it out. I would but again.

Signal is weak when connected to printer. Sometimes it takes the printer a while to find the signal to print.

This product worked well initially in our two story house. It extended the range of the signal to allow use of WI-FI upstairs - eliminating the data charges on phones, etc. However, you have to look at the product to make sure that it has not lost the signal. It has to be periodically reset -- otherwise your children will use phones, tablets, etc thinking they are on WI-FI when they are really on LTE. THis resetting is bothersome because it happens at least once a week. Hard wiring would be better, but as extenders go this is a good product.

Purchased this because it was low priced. Not knowing what to expect, the Netgear extender works great. I'm getting all my Meg speed now. No buffering .

We previously had a “dead zone” for WiFi in our house, but after installing the extender, we haven’t had any problems getting WiFi anywhere in the house now. It’s nice not having to use cellular data inside a house where you’re already paying for internet.

It works pretty well but it has problems. I would look for a better option because it doesn’t have a lot of bandwidth. I can run things off of it then it starts to act like I don’t even have wifi when connected. Lately it has been giving me alot of problems and im only running my TV and phone on it. Look for better than it was lovely at first and now it sucks and works partially.

Good wifi extender and does a great job. Just get the wifi code from your neighbor because “your internet is down” and you’ll be set with free internet until he charges the password!!
