Customers are pleased with the Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender's ease of use, Wi-Fi range, and signal strength. Many appreciate its quick setup, compact size, and good performance for the price. However, some experienced connection instability, and compatibility issues were also reported by a few users. The Ethernet port was a welcome feature for some.

I feel I wasted my money. Difficult to setup, required a separate password, now there are two wife's and two passwords. In conflict n some spots.

When I plugged in the first one it took my wifi network and created a password without letting me know what the password was. Thus I was shut down until I could get help. I exchanged it for another one and got help from GeekSquad getting both networks up and running. No complaints about GeekSquad guy. He was great. But, within a week our iPads quit working with the Netgear extender network and I've since unplugged it. Not happy at all with this product.

Installation was complicated, had to call netgear, "technician" told me that my system was full of virus when he was in my system and that i would have to clean all my wireless system in order to make the extender to work ( at a charge of over $90.00) and trying to make me buy a cleaning virus service....Very disappointed from a company like netgear to have so poor customer service.. the just lost another customer

I was hoping to extend my WiFi wis this device, however, I was unable to get it to link up with my current WiFi. This product was the same brand as the manufacturer of my WiFi device (which I assumed would be very important and likely insure success), however, neither the automatic detection, nor the manual link-up would work. I ended up returning the product and have not been able to extend my network as hoped.

We have a small home (2000 sq ft). This would not relay our signal to our back patio from our study--60-70 feet.
