Useless product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product to get router reception in my backyard, about 30 foot from my router I can only get about 12mbps. The netgear extender cut my signal to zero. In the next room of the house about 20 foot away it went from 45 mbps to 11 and in the same room (3 foot away) from 62 mbps to 21. I returned the extender.

It was recommended by a few of the associates in store. Got home unpacked it an started set up which was easy. Followed all the directions and place this where I was having range issues before. When I connected to it my upload and download speed actually got worse.

I did not what to use something that was going to cause problems. I upgraded my router and so far so good.

Spent 2-3 hours trying to set it up, read the manuals, read online forums, called the netgear help desk (they were literally not helpful unless I wanted to pay for a support program). Returned it as soon as possible.
