Bought it, hooked it up, used their online Genie Smart Setup, up in no time. Router is on second floor, installed this unit on first floor. Increased signal on outside porch from good to strong.

I bought this to bring wi fi to the farthest part of my house, about 90 feet and several walls from the router. It replaces a Linksys RE 1000 which worked well, but needed to be reset once a day. The netgear setup was trivial, push the WPS button on the device, then push the similar button on my Asus router, it creates a new SSID with the same name with the appendage_EXT added and same password. I move the extender to about 40 feet away, and this now serves my bedroom and Apple TV in the family room. Speed has gone from 1.5 Mbps to at least 7.5 Mbps. No resets yet. This device seems to work as expected. I bought it close to my house fully expecting to need to return it, but it is great!

I was concerned after reading other reviews, but it set-up very easily using WPS and enclosed instructions (I am not especially tech savvy). I ran speed tests before and after installation (based on reading other reviews) and saw very little degradation in speed (Comcast). Chromecast wouldn't work before I installed it due to low signal strength, works fine with the network extender.

Did what I wanted in boosting my router signal. How ever, the easy install instructions are BS! You will need to reconfigure your router to work inconjunction with this and change some settings. Best thing I would say when you buy this product, set it up as best as you can then call Netgear for tech help. Very good with the help. It was easy with help, but would have been lost with out them. Good product, but should tell you to do manual set up from the start. Can't say enough about the great, fast tech support this company offers.

Very good extender. Easy to set up and helps extend the wifi range enough to cover the areas with weak signals.

The wifi extension capabilities of this device is sufficient for those families who do casual browsing and moderate streaming. Good value for the price.

I recently had to change Internet providers and the signal was deplorable. I had trouble getting signal more than 50 feet. I bought $300 equipment to fix the problem. Internet equipment would not play with the new equipment. I then bought this hoping against hope that I would get at least a little improvement. Soooooo happy I tried. First, set-up is insanely easy. Including the time to look at the instructions, set-up is less than 10 minute. The instructions are very clear and do not require any technical knowledge at all. Second, the range on this is awesome. It picks up a signal that was horrible and boosts it. I really could not beore pleased. This is an inexpensive option for anyone trying to extend the signal of their wifi.

Inexpensive way to enhance the performance of our electronics. I wish all electronic set ups could be as easy as this netgear range extender. Looked at one last year. Should have bought it then. would have saved some laptop frustration. worth the money.

Easy to set up - no CD. Has continued to stay connected through numerous power outages (Debby got us pretty good) and has made working on my computer remotely located from the primary router a pleasure again. Went from 1 to 4 bars in an old house with lots of metal lath and plaster walls.

I looked for several years for something like this to extend my wireless network from the main house to the studio. My wireless signal was not strong enough to stream audio or video. The WiFi extender plugs directly into a wall outlet, no wall wart! The setup went exactly as described in several youtube videos, no problems, with my iPad and MacBook. It has worked perfectly ever since.

My house is large and we struggled for a year dealing with problems getting wireless signals to the ends of the house. Saw this item and read the reviews and compared prices and got it. Glad as heck we did. It works. Simply put it does just what it is supposed to do. Now we have signal clean across the entire home and everyone is happy. We did make a call on the installation process but I just left it to my son and he got it working in less than an hour. They can make it a bit better documented but for the buck this has been a really good tool and I recommend it for anyone dealing with the same issues.

WN3000RP NetGear Took a little trial and error to get it running. Then had to play with locations to find a place that would send to the end of the house. Still not the best, and makes me wonder if POE would have been a better choice. But Best Buy doesn't carry combinations of POE set up for more than one or two computers. Have to redo it all if modem is reset. Second time around was easier. Perhaps impending modem failure was behind the difficult initial setup!

Bought this extender to extend wifi from my basement to 2nd floor. Set up took 5mins from my computer ,then plugged it 1/2 way in the house. The wifi was easy to establish with other devices.

Works as advertised. Bought this after an online troubleshooting chat as recommended by Netgear tech service. It was also recommended over other brands by the bestbuy sales person. After about 2 weeks of use it stopped communicating with the base router and I had to go through a reset/re-install process. Has been working fine for a couple of months now.

The internet signal we got with the AT&T provided router was not strong enough for me to get connection in the back room of my house. Which was very frustrating since we pay so much for internet. This is a great product for the price. It extends my connection to my back rooms and even to the back yard. There are some spots outside that it does not reach but still much better than before.

I have a large home with Fios modem/router in the basement. Could not get signal on other side 2nd story house. Bought the router and placed it on 1st level with Ethernet to Blu-Ray. It works great! I even get good reception outside. It was not that easy getting it set up. It is best to do it on a laptop. After figuring it out it works great.

...networking product I've ever had...easy to set up...truly plug and play. I have a comp sci degree and have been in technology since the mid 70's... Have seen it all, this is the kind of ease of use all vendors should strive for... I tried another similar product from a famous unnamed networking company which required configuration disks and a lot of effort ...it never worked and also messed up the PC doing the configuration. I literally threw it away...
