I wasn't able to extend my secured network but my router also has an guest network and it works great at extending that. I am able to get wi-fi through out the house and can't do that without an extender so the product definitely works!.

Repeater works well, not hard to install. Watch out for popups when you have utilities / gadgets running on your desktop. It will ask, and ask, and ask for login/pswd - none to give. Turn off the gadgets on your computer & she runs well.

Our home had a very weak internet signal due to the location of our router, only 1-2 bars typically. I bought this hoping to resolve that and it has worked perfectly. Our iphones are now able to pick up our wireless signal in the house, therefore eliminating all the data usage on our wireless phone bill!! We are even able to pick up the signal outside by our pool area now.

I got this one due to the fact that I have a single band router. If you have a dual band you need to get a dual band booster. It already had high ratings, but I wasn't sold. I opened the box and saw a simple piece of paper for the install and I couldn't believe how easy it was. My kids signal went from 1-2 bars to 4-5 bars! They are happy and I didn't break the bank.

Great Range, easy set-up. No surprises... I used to cover a range of over 400 feet from the router...placing the device midway -- works fine.. I did use the admin software to insure that it selected my network (as opposed to a neighbor's)

I use in it my apartment and the signal is great. Even when the signal light is orange the Internet is very fast. Highly recommend this product. Open the box hit a button on your net gear wireless hub, a button on the extender and type in your network password when you connect . Very easy, very impressive. I'll let you know if it breaks, but so far it's great!

I love this thing. It took less than 5 minutes to plug it in and download software. It was very simple tom set up. It works great! I had two areas in my home I couldn't get Internet signals in, I now get 4 bars in each room. Excellent!!!!!

Bought this product to get wireless internet in our 3rd floor home office and it did the job perfectly. We have a very large home and was getting a very low and slow signal in our 3rd floor office,bought this product and now works great. The only problem I had was setting it up, instructions were terrible and had to call for help but they got me through it, a bit more complicated then the directions lead you to believe. We also did not notice downloads being slower when using the extension, it says that might be the case but not in ours. Would definitely recommend to boost wireless internet in a large home.

This unit sends a much stronger wifi signal to the end of the house that doesn't get any signal from the Sagemcom wireless router supplied by my cable provider. I had a brief issue connecting to the internet. Netgear support was very helpful. All I needed to do was reboot my cable modem, and everything works fine.

Installation could not be easier. The coverage is really extensive.

I purchased this to get a signal from a router on a specific connection to an outside location. This product was cheap, easy to setup, and connect too. It works just fine when connecting my devices to it.

Unfortunately had to return this item because it did not provide sufficient Wi-Fi boost for my house.

My mother lives across the street from my aunt. My aunt doesn't have cable or internet, but my mom does. I bought this device to allow my aunt to piggyback off of my mothers internet and it worked flawlessly.

I have an old house that has 1" thick wood walls behind the drywall. This caused my wireless router to not generate a strong enough signal to the front of the house where my living room and bedroom are. I plugged this into the living room and after the setup I had as strong a signal as I would back where the router is. Definitely worked as designed.

Overall I am pleased with the unit and does exactly what I needed. The reason for the 4 stars is something I was not aware of that was required for this. This unit has a "-EXT" at the end of the network name. So another words you have two different network names broadcasting, so you have to choose which one separately you want to use. I was just thinking that it would an extension of the main network, not another network. But is does work when like it should.

Easy to set up and use. Did have some connection challenges.

My objective for this product is to extend the range of my D-Link DIR-628 wireless router in a 3,000 sq.ft. 2-story residence. It did that with ease. The wi-fi analyzer shows a boost of 65%. With the router in the upstairs far corner, the extender now delivers a "good to excellent" signal in the other far corner of the downstairs living room on a Samsung Stratosphere Android phone and Toshiba laptop. The set-up was easy and took 30 minutes. I like the SSID notations...it is SSID_Name and SSID_name_ext. This way you can connect to the strongest station, either the base station of the extender station and all are on the same network, no sub-nets.

I plugged the unit in and it synced up immediately. Works perfectly and I have excellent coverage indoors and outdoors. It is a high tech piece of equipment with low tech instillation, literally plug-and-play...or better said, plug it in and forget about it.

I extended my Wi-Fi coverage to my sister apartment next door, the good thing about it is that is compatible with most wireless routers and features Wi-Fi Protected Setup for plug-and-play installation. Even a Child can set this up... I love it!

I bought this because we had spotty Wifi access in certain rooms in my home. This works very good and now we have great coverage throughout my home. Installation was also very easy.
