I purchased this item for my elderly mother-in-law. It met all of our expectations.

Increased wireless connection from 1 bar to 5 bars on the other end of the house.

the day before, i had bought a WN1000RP from netgear. i couldn't figure out how to set it up, for the WPS button on my router did not work. i took it back, and got this instead. After issues with the WPS once again, i decided to connect it to my pc with an ethernet cable and do the alternate setup method. it worked, and i was able to transfer the extender down to the basement, right under the pc/router. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is having wifi issues.

I always had trouble getting a strong wifi signal upstairs, this was easy to set up. Best BUY ever.

I bought this for the service advertised. It does let me connect to the internet, and it is located at an favorable distance from the router. But every other day i have to constantly reset it: my router works fine, but the extender does not. Other range extenders work better than this.

I now have wireless Internet connectivity throughout my house. Extender was very easy to set up and works flawlessly.

Needed a repeater to enhance signal coverage in a room not real far away but through many walls. Located repeater approx halfway between router and user. Excellent signal from the router and excellent signal to the user. However, the repeater disconnects randomly and has to re-establish; if you're in the middle of something, you're toast. Also, once setup, the repeater loses who it is and has to be reset up. This is very puzzling from an engineernig perspective, but incredily annoying from a user perspective.

My rec room and patio are about 40 to 60 feet from my Netgear router in my computer room. Plugged the extender in and had it up and running in 10-15 minutes. Does a great job of boosting the signal to both problem areas. Couldn't be happier with the results.

This was very easy to set up, eliminated all my deadspots! Well worth the money!

Very easy setup. Just in a few minutes I connected my 4 laptop, mobile phone, ipad. I like it!

I was a computer programmer for over 20 years and still had to get my son-in-law (a network engineer) to come over and install this thing for me. He took one look at the directions, threw them away and started from scratch. Took awhile but he did get it working. Works fine now.

It set up very well and works very well. The directions were very easy to assemble

The 2g conectiion its not fast at all but 5Ghz is super fast

Installation of this was difficult (at least for me - not a tekke). But the bigger issue was NEATGEAR themselves. I've had to call several times for tech help and they basically told me that the password that I had used for years to access my wi-fi in the house was not my password and that my 4 year old wireless netbook is not wireless ready because their product was not working with it. I have used the netbook wirelessly for all 4 years of its exsistance in my home. That being said, now that it does seem to be working, it has very good range in my home. My router is on one side of my house and my blu-ray player cannot reach so this repeater works great with a strong signal to link all my wireless devices on the other end of the house.

This greatly improved the reception of our wifi signal throughout our home
