Inexpensive way to extend network. Very reliable. I would recommend this product if you can't get wireless throughout your home.

After a month of having to reset the extender at least twice a week, the extender finally wouldn’t connect at all. I called Netgear support and after being put on hold for 10 minutes, the call was disconnected. The quality of this extender is POOR! Cheaply made and obvious why it doesn’t work. Now I am at 47 days since purchase which is outside of Best Buy return window. Money lost!

Unit was easy to set up and connect. Range extension was very good. The problem is that the extender caused my DSL modem to lose internet connectivity. Sometimes this took several hours, sometimes only minutes. I have Qwest with the Actiontec modem.

This product is probably better for a large open office that does not have any thick walls. In my house it was difficult to find the right place for it to actually extend the signal. Also the speed of the internet was halved almost in every spot. The closer I put the extender to the main router the better the signal got, but the extender would often just as out of range as the router. I used it mostly for gaming with my XBOX 360 with built in wf-fi. For some reason the built-in wi-fi on game consoles are not very good. You practically need to have the router in the room to get it to work. Either way I tested with my laptop and phone and the same result in range and speed issues.

I was losing my internet signal during a video game. It was frustating and so easy to resolve. Just plug in to the wall.

This worked for extending our coverage to all corners of our house.

The product has worked extremely well in providing wi-fi service throughout our home. I am very pleased.

So being that it's n300 I figured it would be slow but totally opposite outcome.

This extender has very solid connection. Easy setup.

Bought this product last Sunday. It wasn't very hard to set up. We were amazed by our "excellent" wifi strength in the _ext connection that it creates. Unfortunately, our excitement was short-lived. This product will not stay configured/connected, so after a little while, it makes us go through the whole configuration process again. It boots us to a "hijack" screen, so anything that we are doing online is lost when it randomly boots us. I called Netgear after trying various troubleshoots. Everytime I call, they make me reconfigure (as if I haven't done that a million times) and since it works right after the configuration, they tell me that it is cured and end the call. The last tech guy tried to get me to let him access my computer through a 3rd party company...I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not allowing some tech from some far-off land access my personal information...I'll just return this product and try another brand rather than put myself at risk. Now I remember why I was avoiding Netgear!

It does a good job extending the range my WiFi was available in my home.

Range extender helps a little but not much, better off buying a better tower.

Purchased this today 04/24/12 took it home and followed the directions that were included, would not pick up my wifi, tried in several locations throughout the house with the same results, called customer support and went over everything they could think of. Spent over 3 hours on the phone. Had the unit sitting beside my wireless router and could still not get a signal indicator. Wireless router works fine just a weak signal at the other end of the house for the laptop and tablet. Spoke with a supervisor and was informed they do not sell defective products and I informed them apparently they do sell faulty products because this one did not work out of the box. Will be taking this one back and getting a different brand.

This is a real piece of trash. It worked reasonably well for a few months, then began disconnecting from our devices after just a few minutes of use. I called Netgear tech support. While the phone reps were nice, and really seemed to be trying, their help was worthless and just a waste of my time. Based on my experience, I'd be reluctant to ever buy any Netgear product
