Customers are pleased with the Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender's ease of use, Wi-Fi range, and signal strength. Many appreciate its quick setup, compact size, and good performance for the price. However, some experienced connection instability, and compatibility issues were also reported by a few users. The Ethernet port was a welcome feature for some.

I was frustrated about using my Kindle at home. My computer was located in my home office on the lower lever, but I was unable to get signal for my Kindle in the bedroom directly above. With the extender I am now able to use my Kindle anywhere in the house. We have noticed a slight decrease in speed on our home computers when using internet, but I consider the tradeoff well worth it.

Needed an extender to go from a downstairs study to the upstairs opposite end of the house. This little gadget did the trick. Pretty easy setup so follow the instructions closely. Didn't realize at first it would require a new WiFi profile, but I got over that. From start-to-finish, took 15 minutes to setup the device. Plan for extra time after that to setup your individual devices to the additional network. Overall, meets my expectations.

We changed from DSL to Cable. When we had the DSL the modem/router was centrally located. When they did the install for the cable the modem got relocated to my home office in the front of the house which caused dead spots in the back rooms. Called the cable company and they were going to charge for a new install this was a cheaper option and one less hole drilled in my house

Great product. It was easy to set up and allows us to get a wi-fi signal on both floor levels of the home. Streaming movies was sketchy before, but now -- no problems.

Having experienced a number of challenges w/ our ISP, and after several attempts to resolve our in home wireless coverage, we researched and purchased this NETGEAR unit. In fewer than 15 minutes, following very simple instructions, we solved a problem our ISP was unable to solve for months.

Did not have success with this product

I purchased this product with high hopes that I might be a will to get onto my Internet a bit easier/faster. After all of the reviews, it seemed like it would be fairly easy to set up. I did not find that be directions were the easiest, and I was never able to set up my computer to where it work. I am very computer literate, so I found it surprising that I had so much difficulty getting everything connected. I ended up taking the product back.

This extender resolved all the WiFi problems in my house. Do read the instructions before plugging it into the wall. The guy in the store told me you could just plug it in and it would work, nope need to program first. But that was simple enough.

I moved to an apartment that provided free internet however it did not reach all apartments and you would have to go to a common area. This allowed the internet to reach my apartment with a one time cost. My other option was to pay for my own internet.

I needed something to provide wireless capability to a laptop where connecting to the ethernet port was not possible, this fit the bill nicely. The only negative and it is slight, is that the internet speeds from this extender is somewhat slower then if connected directly to my ISP provided router.

Needed to extend our coverage to the garage. This device did the trick. The salesman at Best Buy said all I'd have to do is push a button on the router and the extender would work. My router did not have that button, so I had to install the extender using my computer. Although not as simple as pressing a button, I just followed the steps and completed the process on the manufacturer's website. The instruction manual tells you what to do if your router does not have that button.

Bought this because I needed an extender for the garage for internet service. My router is in the basement and I couldn't get a strong signal in the garage. The Netgear Wi-Fi Range Extender solved the problem immediately. Just plug it in and it's ready to go. Excellent speed. Really made a difference. Happy I can stream music now in the garage. Very satisfied and would highly recommend.

It started off great, I was using it for my Ring flood light. About month later it stop connecting. I would reset it and it go back working great and then a few months afterwards it completely stopped working. Disappointed but you also get what you pay for.
