    A powerful router for Gaming

    I have recently mad the switch to a modem and router for my home. While my gateway had provided was good, but had issues with latency. With this router it has helped smooth out my gaming.

    Netgear has gone rogue. Avoid.

    I bought the Netgear RS300 router and am returning it. The hardware is good but the customer support is the worst I have ever experienced. The tech support people have no idea what they are doing and don’t care. No follow up, no solutions and no customer survey. After 48 hours, they delete the ticket. Next, they only provide phone support for a few weeks and after that they charge for it. If that wasn’t enough to turn you away, they only provide a trial period of 15 days for their security and VPN, then charge $150 / year automatically renewing for what should be free. Last, they collect privacy data and the only op out is if you send them a letter explaining why you feel you should be able to keep your own data but they also have a disclaimer that if they grant the opt out, certain things may not work right with the router. No way will I ever buy Netgear again.

    Netgear t/s sucks & this router so far hasnt been out proforming my wifi 5 one dats netgear… updated the firmware have a few more days left from by 15day period but for the price it should be preforming better!
