I have HIgh Speed internet from Comcast, so i know its not the internet, its the router.

desktop PCs vs. phones / tablets

Every once in awhile I can connect with those devices. My desktop PC uses the wireless although it's hardwired - it won't give me internet through the hardwire.

The initial router didn't work properly when the Geek Squad came to install the TV system. They switched it out and the replacement has worked well.
