Tried to use this router as an access point and it seems to not want to work. Might be a bad router out of the box.

After a year or two had issues with it - had to go back to computer modem - no WI-FI

Purchased this due to old router having low connection within house. This router appears to work better at times.

I like the router. Except for the one time it kept dropping the wireless signal and it took me an hour to re-establish the signal.

Good router for beginners and amateurs. Positive purchase. I would buy it again. It does the job. It streams a wireless signal.

you get what you pay for. Works for basic computer usage. Don't expect great thing from a single band router

My local ISP wouldn't allow this item to be used or offer any support. NETGEAR support was unable to assist either.

Wifi is working well. Speed looks really good. Works better with multiple device connected to the wifi.

I had to return this item, and later purchased a Linksys. This router did not connect, and the customer service reps for Netgear were not helpful. As recommended by my cable guy, I returned it. When I purchased the Linksys, it connected within minutes of me getting home and connecting it. As far as technology, I usually shoot for easy, and this was definitely on the opposite end of that spectrum!

This is a very average router that isn't really worth getting unless you are in a very small apartment. The range for the wifi is just plain awful I couldn't go into the next room without loosing 50% of my signal. Its easy to set up but that is its only benefit.

I got this router to replace an older one and sucked. Setting it up was harder then the simple router I had before .

This new router had no CD. We should have bought the same router we had because it had a CD and my husband could install it. He tried , he lost Internet to his hard wired computer too. We called our internet provider , rebooted everything and landed up calling a computer repairman . The repairman called the Internet provider. Took over a half hour to fix. So we landed up paying a repairman.

I bought two of these to replace two Zyxel routers that were damaged by a power surge. I like a good strong wifi connection in my yard in the spring and summer so I can connect on the patio and I use the second router as a wireless repeater. My Zyxel routers did this easily. No one carried the Zyxels locally, so I bought two of these. The packaging and Negear's site claim they can be used in this fashion. And they can, but you can't do this AND use WPA or WPA2, so the data on the LAN is sent in cleartext. This is really unacceptable. Several hacker sites claim they work well for this if you replace the firmware with DD-WRT, but I didn't have good luck flashing the firmware and simply returned these to Best Buy and bought two more Zyxels from Amazon. I'm just as happy with these Zyxels as I was with the previous two. If you don't want to spend the money for Apple routers, Zyxel is the way to go.

I have to call tech support for three straight days, rare techs can guide you the right path. Speed.net shows low signal.

This router does not work any faster than the other cheaper options available.

It's a very basic router, nothing too exciting but it does the job as a backup. No bells and whistles.

Trouble with changing preloaded password. Didn't feel it was secure enough. Reception was okay for a small apartment.

Great item with the PC, Kindle and wireless printer. But install in to laptop was not complete and don't know how to fix.

The router seems to work ok for now. Have only gotten about 2 years from netgear wireless systems in the past.

I was disappointed in the performance of this router. Very slow .
