Easy to set up, great performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Netgear Wireless Router was very easy to set up and worked perfectly right out of the box. I had no trouble loading the software to my PC, and the performance has been great. Good signal throughout the house. I think the instructions should enphasize that this device has default settings that leave it vulnerable to unauthorized use. Easy enough though to resolve, but read carefully and enable all encryption and security options.

Great for long range needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed something that would provide internet for a distance, and after a few failed attempts with other routers, this one was actually successful to reach where we needed it to go. It is easy to install, easy to use, and doesn't lose internet like others do, and doesn't need to reset at all. It truly is the perfect router for everyday use.

Nice router for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good router but I didn't initially get the range I was hoping for (my living room and wi-fi bluray is on the other side of the house from the modem and router). I noticed that this router is capable of being put into a repeater mode so I decided to buy another one. I'm not a computer "geek" but was still able to figure out the repeater mode install after some time and reading the online manual (the basic manual on the CD doesn't discuss the repeater mode but the online one does - a Best Buy guy also told me to disable DHCP in the repeater router's setup). The second router works great now as a wireless range expander and I have 100% strength in my whole house (1 story, 1900sq.ft.) and patio too. I ended up paying $120 for both and feel this was a great value to other products I saw on the shelves. I probably would've given this 5 stars if I knew more computer lingo so the install could've been easier.

Very easy to install for beginner.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've not had experience with a router before; very easy to install - we live in a remote area with WildBlue as our ISP, so we don't have to worry about other people tapping into our wireless/security. I've learned that if the electricity goes off (like during a recent thunderstorm) you have to unplug it to reset it but it works fine again. Signal also works well in the basement, while the router is on the main floor.

The Little Router That could
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This simple router has trooped on dependably for years. It is easy to configure and versatile. Its range struggles somewhat to get from the front of my modest home to the back, but I have solved this issue with other work-arounds.

Good product, fair price. Works as advertised.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup with Windows 7 was a breeze. It automatically created a WPA-2 connection with a random password. It just worked! Fast and reliable. I'm very happy with this router.

Good performance for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to use for my iPhone 4, and my friends phones, and laptops when they are over. It is so easy to install there is no software disc. You simply plug it in and set it up. The range is good. I can be in my back yard which is about 300 feet from the router with my iPhone 4 and still have almost full signal.

Great Product!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this item, and it works great! After my old Wireless G router died, I decided to give this one a try. A major improvement with the signal strength and with up to 300 mbps, this router is flawless when playing online. I have both an XBOX 360, and a PS3. Both consoles connected with the router with no issues. The installation is easy when using the Installation CD. GREAT PRODUCT!!

Very good!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used this model before and had good luck with it. The reason I bought another one is that my job has relocated me to different state so had to leave the Netgear with my husband. It is very easy to set up and very reliable and plenty fast enough for what I use. I mostly use it for surfing the website, emails and occasional videos. It does not break your bank either.

Perfect for the Job!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to replace another 5-year old Netgear Router (WG24?) which finally seized up. I work & play from home using a broad range of wireless devices - Laptop, Desktop, iPhone, iTouch, XBox etc. Set up was quick and straight forward and took less than 10 minutes to set up. Didn't install any software but use the web browser instead. surprisingly I was able to use my previous configurations from the old router in the browser, which saved me time reconfiguring every device with a new SSID and security password. All in all its good value, and perfect for medium to heavy internet users.

More range than my previous 'G' router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better range in our 3-bedroom home than the previous Netgear "N" router. Had to upgrade because of new computer hardware. Some equipment (like a PSP) is not upgradeable to the "N" standards, however. Easy installation and good value. I'd buy again and recommend to anyone using in a small home.

Always connected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was easy to set up, and once it's running, you don't have to think about it. As soon as I turn on my computer or laptop, I'm surfing the net at fast speeds. Not expensive and a good investment.

AWESOME!! AWESOME! AWESOME!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this router, got to the office, plugged it in and it was working!!! No hassles, no problems, no headaches!!!!!!!!!! I can't say enough good things about this router. And other than being able to read and look at pictures, I know nothing about hooking up routers. I have a 2003 Gateway desktop which has doesn't have the wireless card. I pluged in the cords to the computer and modem, turned them on and it was working. Just that simple. I didn't even use the CD. Can't complain about the price (under $50) either.

Excellent router!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to replace my old wireless g router that I had had for several years. The installation program was excellent...just follow the directions and the program tests everything and sets everything up. I literally spent more time routing the cables than on the software setup of the device. I also bought this router for the USB port. I plugged in my old hard drive and it was instantly available in both our MAC and PC without any issues. The only issue i had was making changes to the shared drive from within the router admin web page. turns out that the web page does not like pop up blockers and every time i tried to make changes to the shared drive settings, nothing would happen. once i turned off the pop up blocker, everything worked perfectly. my internal network speed has definitely increased. my internet speed is pretty much the same, which was expected as my internet connection tops out at 20mbps, so i was not expecting a internet speed improvement, though additional range with wireless n is very nice (able over 80% signal several rooms away). overall, very happy with the router.

Great Product for the Basic Home Office
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great value for the money. This basic product actually provides more functionality than I need. Easy to install, small footprint, nice appearance. Installation: Written instructions were confusing and not quite correct but online ones were clear and easy to follow. Install was successful the first time, no problems.

First Impressions
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of my first impressions, the setup would have been easy, if Time Warner did not insist on having a Class B network on the inside of my cable modem, AND have 192.168.x.x as the Class B address space! Makes it really, REALLY hard for packets to return to the computer if the router also has 192.168.1.x as it's address space. Like my previous Netgear WiFi, I changed the LAN to be something else, and that did the trick. Also, it took me a couple tries with the 'setup pixie' or whatever the hell Netgear wants to call a wizard, before I just did the brute force thing like I normally would have. I'm guessing that other folks using Time Warner (or maybe any cable modem?) have had a similar issue. WiFi was actually quite easy to set up, and I did 1 PC, 3 phones, and an iPod in short order. Then I proceeded to watch a Netflix movie in HD over the WIFi. This was a bit of a shock, because I was about to cancel my Time Warner connection, having become convinced they were throttling Netflix. Turns out it was my previous (6-year-old!) Netgear router that was causing all the fuss. Anyway, I may change my score once I burn the thing in (or burn it out, as has apparently happened to other reviewers).

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, make sure you read the manual and know how to setup a wireless router. I setup routers for my job and this one is probably the easiest one i have setup to date. You need to make sure that when you take your router out of the box you check to see if there is an updated firmware for the device. FIRMWARE are constantly updated for routers to make sure that they keep their connection and to make sure that there are not backdoors that hackers can get into. This will also make sure that your device is running properly. I had a previous netgear router that was losing connection due to it being 3-4 years old it was because i had not updated the firmware. After updating the firmware it worked flawlessly, i ended up giving it to my friend. I recently upgraded to this one because i wanted the wireless N abilities. This is a wonderful router, with great distance. It has an extremely easy setup, and i have never had any problems with connecting to it wirelessly. Make sure that your wireless network is not opened up to the world. I would suggest using WPA3 TKIP for your wireless security. Great product,

Easiest Setup Yet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually do reviews, but I have to admit that I was very impressed with the ease of setup for this device. I work IT for the Air Force so I pretty much know what I am doing or talking about, but this router was for my Grandma who has finally moved up into the age of Broadband Internet, so ease of set up and use is a must. I got the thing to her house, took it out of the box, plugged it all in (the wires are even color coded, and the basic diagram made it so clear that my 9 month old could possibly make everything match), and then turned on the computer, got the directions out, and about 5 minutes later I am here typing out this review. My recommendation to anyone with any home router like this is to never ever use the CD! The "No CD" instructions for this model were very simple! So far the range is awesome (I might have overdone that aspect) and I have had zero issues with connectivity (given it's only been a few minutes) and everything is great! If you are even thinking about this model, I would go for it, and this is coming from a avid cisco (linksys) user.
