    Great router for home use

I bought this router for home use. 2 Laptops, Xbox Live gaming, and Netflix streaming. It handles everything just fine, haven't had any troubles. Installation was very user freindly. I had to switch one security setting to match my laptop's, but it ended up being the reccomended setting anyways. If you want an easy to set up router to handle your everyday home use, I'd reccomend this one.

I am satisfied with this router for the most part. It is a good purchase for the price. Sometimes my internet drops but I am not sure if its the modem or the router or Comcast. I am never home. It is noting fancy and it meets my needs.

I got the router today at Best Buy, I was originally looking for the Linksys E1000 router, but they were out of stock. So, I found this one for the same price, so I bought it. When I got home the router instructions were very simple and easy to follow. It gives you step by step instructions when you insert the CD-ROM into the computer, so you will never get lost. Overall it gets the job done very well, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good router, for a cheap price.

Had 6 yr old "G" router and had noticed it was beginning to act up, and I bought the built-in wireless LG BD390 blu ray and wanted to be sure I could stream movies wifi. So glad I saw the $49 black fri deal on this router and they still had stockl! Setup was easy, I've been on the router admin page when I needed to rename my new setup cause the LG was case sensitive and at time could find the cap key. That was quickneasy. Admin is intuitive and with some explanations displaying to the right. My PC laptop & daughters Mac had no problem immediately accessing the network either. Noticeable improvement in speed on laptops. The LGblu ray wifi has been great-streaming movies from Netflix, watching Youtube. Happy I got this router.

This router took minutes to set up on my HP computer (w/ windows vista) and I quickly connected my old Compaq laptop to it as well as the Wii. I live in a two story 1600 sq ft house and laptop gets excellent signal strength in every room. Great buy and excellent product.

Many times a good price tag means you have to sacrifice quality but not with this. For the money this router is great it is fast, small, and easy to install with basic knowledge of internet setup.

I had purchased this router for a family member well over a year ago and it has been working fine ever since. She is not proficient with computers, but she was able to easily set up the router with no assistance.

I originally purchased my router back in May, and was so happy with it that I bought one for my father this past Christmas after he expressed interest in going wireless. I live in an older, brick-and-stone apartment building constructed in the early 1900's and the wireless signal is always very strong - even in the laundry room in the basement, with the router being on the 2nd floor. It has no difficulty covering my parents' entire house as well.

Easy 10 minute setup on windows 7 computers. Solved compatibility problem that my older G router had working with a N laptop. Good value for price. Range somewhat better than old G router.

Replaced a Cisco Valet that lost signal in the breeze. This was easier to set up, doesn't drop my wireless printer and lets me turn off internet service from midnight to 5am to stop my 17 year old. ANd has a guest network that i can also turn off. Best part is the parental controls filters. Unit is in basement cupboard - three floors receive great signal. THIS ROUTER IS FANTASTIC.

This was my first router and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Took 5 minutes to setup, and worked right away. It did stop working for a bit at first, but I just restarted my computer and then (after windows updates or something I presume) it worked fine ever since (about a month ago). My house is 3 levels (2 story, with a basement) and the signal strength is Excellent even in the basement and on my porch and balcony! I couldn't be more pleased with the router's ease of setup and performance of signal strength and range.

I bought this router because it was on sale and I was familiar with the brand name. I was very pleased with the ease of installation and how fast I was up and running. I get a signal in every room and even in the far corner of my basement. If I could think of anything negative about this product I would say so but so far, no complaints. Maybe the design could be a little lower profile instead of looking lile a book standing up on my desk but it does take up less room that way. So I guess thats not a complaint after all.

This is the first router I have bought and installed in my house. I'm a total novice and this thing almost did everything itself. No problems whatsoever with reliable signal strength. We watch Netflix via the Wii wirelessly for past 2 months and it is flawless. Also easily handles work laptop duties.

Overall, I would recommend this router for home use. It is fast with compatible network adapters (N-range). It infrequently dropped connections with my network computers (I have 6 - 4 Windows and 2 Linux) until I assigned a different channel, then the connection drops seemed to go away. It has a good, thorough interface which allows robust customization. The drawback is with initial setup. The default signon and password were finally located in the small print in the literature that came with the router, and it took some time to find it. I have since changed my password, so that issue is resolved. There are references to a CD that is used in the setup literature, but the router did not come with a CD - All of the setup capability is contained in the on-board software, which is accessed thru the 192.168.1.1 I.P. address thru your browser. That being said, the remainder of the initial setup was presented clearly and concisely, and the initial setup, for the most part, was simple and quick. Occasional internet connection drops occurred until I turned off Windows firewall - The router, by default, provides reliable traffic rules and should be all you need for traffic protection. Once Windows Firewall was turned off, the internet connection drops went away. This is a reliable and fast router. Again, it is a good router for home use and for the price.

A great standard in wireless networking

I've set up quite a few of these in homes, and it's the best for the price, very easy to configure, you don't have to use the installation CD, and is very reliable for awhile. They seem to degrade after a year or 2, and they're sure not the fastest or longest range, but I would say among the top 75% of both, even compared to dual-band routers up to $200 or so. N-300 is about the fastest, and anything above really doesn't have greater throughput, just maybe longer range.

Probably the easiest router I have ever set up. Hasn't dropped the signal at all, other than a power outage. Great coverage throughout my house. All around great router.

I switched from Verizon DSL 1.5 mbps to Comcast 12 mbps, after comcast left it took me all of 30 minutes to set this router up, hook up via wires my direct tv, ps3, and apple tv and wireless 3 laptops, iMac, 2 iphones, and an iPad. We have seamless connections a the highest being 15 mbps and the lowest being 8 mbps. I even set up a guest connection without any issues. It works without any issues!

I bought this unit to replace and upgrade from my old linksys 801g network router. This was 10000x easier to set up than the old one,it practically does all the work by itself. I'm very happy with the speed and performance,i have 2 desktops,1 laptop and 2 tablets and my printer all running on the network and doesn't seem to slow down at all. I would definately recomend this unit.
