It was the easy to install (when I followed the directions HAHA) I had not problems with it. I have 2 lab tops a PS3 and a Wii all runing at the same time without any problems. I will say this is a great product.

I've owned this router for about 3 months and haven't had a problem with it. Other people have said that the unit drops off line and needs to be restarted. I have not once had this problem. I use it with 2 lap tops and a DVD player for streaming music, and it connects every time with out any problems. When friends come to stay from up north, their computers do not have any trouble connecting when installing the security code. As far as speed, I can't realy see much difference between using it direct wired or wireless. All I can say is that I am very happy with it. It was easy to set up. I was up and running in minutes. The only thing I could say on the down side, is that I noticed the range was slightly less than my old router. I live in a 2300 sq ft ranch style house and it gives me almost full scale in all rooms. It was not a night and day difference. If your some kind of computer guru, you may not be happy with it, for me it is just fine. These kind of things don't seem to last more than a few years, so why invest a ton of money on something you may be throwing in the garbage can in time. Hope this helps.

Unlike a recent disaster with a Belkin router, this router's installation disk had it up and running in a couple of minutes. In fact, after plugging it in, it had immediately linked to the internet! Just needed to pick a SSID and WPA2 key. The instructions provided the option for advanced set-up (not needed). It's range and speed are outstanding. A speed test shows that it delivers my ISP's advertised high speed. Kudos! A push button on off switch for the wireless function is a welcome extra. The case and stand are cheap but you can't have everything for $60!

To save you a brain hemorrhage, if you are a Verizon DSL subscriber do this 1st: Call Verizon DSL support and tell them you just got a Netgear router. They will then reset your IP address for the router & the modem. Then you can continue with your setup. If you do not do this you will not get this router to get online. Do not call Netgear support in India, I mean Indiana. They are clueless and will waste 2 hours of your day. The router works, great - no dropping and very easy setup if you do step one 1st. Excellent product once it is up and running

Other reviews have been complaining about the install disc not working with windows vista 64x. Install disc isn't even needed.. just google wnr2000 manual set up. Router is a bit pricey but does the job good and increases the range quite a bit. This was an upgrade from the wgr614. Router seems a lot faster but did add a higher connection speed from ISP to go along with it.. Overall.. its a great router. I recommend NETGEAR anytime.

This wireless router was perfect for my needs. It was reasonably priced and very easy to set up and has been very reliable since setup.

I generally hear good things about netgear so I went ahead and bought this router. It's extremely tiny compared to other routers I've owned and provides a great deal of range. I have a guest house about 40 yards away from the router and I can still manage to get a signal. Very easy to set up and user friendly.

I had a Linksys 54G which took hours to set up a few years ago with tech support because the EasySetup wasn't easy and didn't set it up. Got a new one 54G2 in order to get better security, but that one failed easy setup and failed hours of on the phone tech support with people (3 tries) who didn't know what their own error codes were. I got the Netgear instead, and the setup was seamless. No hassles, everything worked right, no problems right from the start. I strongly recommend Netgear and will NEVER buy another Linksys product.

Purchased this item after my Linksys died. This product was super easy to set up, was up and running with 3 computers and two gaming systems in about 10 minutes, if that. Wires are color coded and all I did was transfer my wires from old router to this one and disconnected my PS3 cause old router was not wireless. All computers are faster online and no more lagging or disconnects while gaming. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable which led to me purchasing this awesome router. Would recommend to everyone. :)

I replaced my old router with the NETGEAR N300 Wireless-N Router, suggested by a Best Buy employee. First , the color coded cords were appreciated and easy to install. Second; the software took seconds to install I was up and running within 10 minutes after opening the box. The performance of Netgear N300 is excellent .

I've had this router since 2011. I'm shocked it's still being sold! Day in and day out this router works perfectly. Wireless Printer, 3 wireless laptops, Fire TV and a Samsung Smart TV....everything is rock solid, and we can use them all at the same time. I turn on my Sony Cyber-Shot Wi-Fi camera anywhere in the house and upload pictures automatically. This thing is amazing. Now I see the new price....what a deal. Get this router.

Installation cd said this router is not compatible to Windows 7 so I plugged the modem back into the computer & went to the website. One simple click on the Windows 7 on the bottom right took me right where I needed to go. I downloaded the software and then followed the step by step instructions and within 10 mins it was up and running. I chose not to use a password. No issues so far running great. I live in a 1800 sq ft 2 story home and I have coverage thru out the house. Remember to place it as high as possible.

I bought this router the day after black-Friday for only $49.99 a really good price for a wireless N router with so many features. The range on is great and it has not dropped a connection yet. The only reason for buying it was the price since to me it seemed like something too good to pass by. So far the router has been working like a charm without any issues lets just hope that it stays that way.

From the moment I opened the box to 10 minutes later when I was using my computer in the living room wirelessly, I didn't have any problems! It was so simple to setup and has had no issues at all with my Comcast. I can't tell the difference from when I had a direct connection to the modem. I used to have a Motorola Gateway that would slow down and have to be reset weekly, but I had gotten so frustrated that I had gone to the old fashioned wired connection. So happy I gave wireless another chance.

Took it out of the box, plugged it in, followed the instructions and used the startup cd. Works as advertised. No complaints so far. My computer and Nook cozied right up to the Netgear. I'll see how it works over time before i get too excited though.

I was looking to go wireless after my horrible!!! experience with wireless internet card. Knowing what I now about internet cards and how the work will never use them again beware if you do!!!. This Router makes my life online effortless. Internet is fast again and best of all no hidden fees for overages!!!!. Like with the cards!! they won't tell you about. Tell you get a very big bill......

I purchased it almost two weeks ago and have had no problem since then. I had DSL with 3 Mbps and cheap Westel Modem provided by the phone company before, it worked fine. Now I have cable Internet with Comcast with 15 Mbps and this router, apparently it is faster. But I am a low tech person, I don't know this router itself helps or the whole thing helps, too. One thing I can be sure is my two laptops always have strong wireless connection and again, very decent speed. Although I am a low-tech person, I was able to install and configure my DSL network by myself three years ago. This one I however, had problems. When I was trying to install, my internet connection did not pass. It could be because of my Comcast modem. If you have Comcast Modem and have similar problem, you may need to disconnect the modem including its backup battery. Of course you can call Netgear help desk, they are very helpful. But each tech has different level of skills. My first one gave up on me and advised me to call my internet provider and tell them to change my IP address to public address, which turned out not to be the case at all. The second guy was supper good, but when I unplugged my modem, I got disconnected with him b/c my phone was connected to my modem, too. The third guy was technically savvy, but was not so pleasant. So it could be frustrated, but be patient. I can do it, I am sure everyone can do it. -tam from Seattle area.

unless you have super high speed equipment for gaming this unit for the money will do everything you need just fine and I am using it in a 3000sq foot home with 5 pieces of equipment running off of it, including PS3, direct TV and 3 putters...have had no problems or delays since putting it in the home..

I bought this router to replace a linksys router. I was going to purchase the cheaper N-150, but decided to spend the money for the N-300 and I am glad I did. I get much better signal with this router that I did with the linksys. The set up is not that difficult and can be accomplished in a few minutes for those computer savvy. At first I was not able to connect to the net, but it was just a matter of resetting the modem and router and everything was up and running fine. So good so far.

The ease of installation was quite nice and the performance for the price was a great surprise was the best value.
