A solid Performer at a Bargain Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last time I tried to upgrade my router was a disaster. (I'm not going to name the maker, but it was a big, well-known firm.) No matter how carefully I followed the instructions, the router failed to register and save my internet log on details. Maybe they'd never heard of PPoE. Not so this time. The Netgear software disk fired up instantly, the instructions for connecting my various components were understandable and simple. And the setup wizard even correctly notified me when I forgot to power on my router. Five minutes later I had a functioning Wireless N network in place, and I was busy updating my network passwords on my various devices. A couple of notes: The NetGear software makes it VERY EASY to create a guest network, one task that is becoming increasingly necessary as more and more friends and relatives arrive with a tablet, laptop, or smartphone. I'm happy to let them share my internet access. Not so sure about letting them browse the contents of my NAS or shared desktop. No complaints, and I'd definitely recommend the value-priced NetGear to anyone in the market.

Excellent Product for the money.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm new to the wireless environment at home and after researching the web for the best most economical routers in the market, this one stood out from the rest. It was easy to install and it works great throughout our house...most important...it did not drain our bank account to get it....extremely satisfied.!!!

Fast and easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both my roommate and I play World of Warcraft at the same time with no lag. We use the internet a lot for our business so having a good router is essential to stay connected. Easy to use and good range. I'd recommend this one esp for the price. I paid $59.99 for this router which is a good price for it.

couldn't have worked out any better!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm usually not one to write reviews but I've had such a great experience with this router that I had to. Finally got internet for the business but time warner was charging an arm and a leg for wifi, so i bought this guy (mostly because of price) and was pleasantly surprised when the entire setup took all of 10 minutes and the internet is working great, the netgear genie makes all the admin stuff super simple and the internet is up and running.

Performs exactly as I was told it would
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THis is a great product for the price. Being on a tight buget I needed to get more bang for my buck and after speaking with the very knowledgeable Best Buy rep in that department I purchased this on his recommendation. After my husband I set it up and hooked up our new Sony Blu Ray streaming media player to it & our modem we were thrilled with the results as well as with the ease we had with the set up. Definitely will recommend to all who inquire!

great wireless router for household use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought this router and couldn't be happier with it. The installation process takes literally 5 minutes, you just plug it in and run the cd. I have 3 computers, 2 phones, 1 tv and 1 ps3 connected and they all run perfectly. Great value for the money!

Easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much easier to set up than the Belkin I previously owned. Sits upright so it takes up less space than the Linksys. On/Off wireless switch on the back is a great feature. Never been more than thirty feet or two walls away so I can't really speak to the range but I've never lost a signal.

Excellent Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first router, or actually my second if you count the Linksys Cisco one I bought when the store didn't have this one to begin with. The specs were the same and I didn't want to go looking all over town so I went ahead and bought the Cisco. Big mistake, couldn't believe how slow it was and it was "N" speed too. So after a few days of slowness I decided to take back the Cisco and buy the Netgear one. I'm sure glad I did. I get excellent speed anywhere in my house with no lag time and besides my lap top I have a desktop hardwired in and a printer to share between the two and everything runs smoothly. Also have to give big kudos to Netgear's customer support because I had to call them twice since I got the router and they were very patient and made sure they solved all my issues. Nothing was wrong with the router but the first time I messed up a setting inside and the second time I needed to log into the router and had misplaced my password and had to get them to help me reset everything. All in all a very positive experience.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a I.T. person. So when I seen this Wi-Fi router. I just knew it would be the best. Net Gear makes great products. Very easy to install. The one touch feature is great for laptops to connect to. I also have my "PS3" connected to it. My online gaming is great now. Very strong singal. Plus if you have a phone that wi-fi on it. It works great also. A must get

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have signal in every corner of a 2,000 sq ft home, as well as all the way across a large backyard. Had one question with installation and service was great. Up and running in minutes. Only downside with service is they will charge you $75 for help after a short period when your service ends.

Works Great, Easy Setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a several years old DI-524 D-Link that started having connectivity problems. What was really annoying was having my XBox Live unable to maintain a reliable connection. I have an office, internet by cable modem, with 1 Mac 10.5 wired, 1PC running XP wired, 1 Mac laptop 10.6, and XBox wired. Plugged it in, setup security and was done in about 10 min. All computers recognized network first try. Works great and noticeable speed bump when browsing.

I have loved this router from day one.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was easy right out the box and the price was not so bad because it was mislabeled I got even a cheaper price than Best Buy normally sell it even the sale price. i've had not one problem and it really will be tested in the next 3 days because of ice and snow showers coming tomorrow so we will see how my cable company hold up. It was not recommended by an associate I work with but I do not have any problems all around the house wireless

Don't know why I didn't buy it sooner!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The family reunion always ended up with someone complaining that their lap top didn't work at our home. I finally ended the complaints by purchasing a Net Gear wireless router. ALL PROBLEMS SOLVED!!! It was very inexpensive, works great, and even a electronics dummy like me was able to have no trouble hooking it up! As an added bonus, while watching TV, our phone calls are streamed onto the TV screen so we know who's calling!

Nice little wireless router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a nice router for the price. It works fine with the xbox 360, netbook and a laptop. Didn't get the more expensive one and seems to be working fine with no issues. Have had a problem twice since purchased in last 2 months where it had to be turned off and back on but other then that no issues. Was very easy to setup and walked you through it. Would highly recommend this model (or the cheaper one if you aren't doing gaming)

Works great no problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was not the easiest I've ever done, but it was all working and figured out within an hour or two. I've never had it stop working or need a reboot in the four or five months I've had it. I have Comcast. My house has had a dual Win2k/Ubuntu32 PC, iMac, and HP network printer hooked up to it via cables plus a Sony dual Win7/Ubuntu64 laptop, iPod 2G and iPhone 3G hooked up to it via wireless all with no problems. It has enough range that I always have full bars on the iPod even when I pull into the driveway inside my car. It has some neat features. You can enable passthrough for HTTP requests to an address on your home network, which lets you use a home PC as a web server. You can ask it to give a warning or shut down after downloading a certain amount of GB in a period of time, which helps avoid extra fees now that Comcast has download limits.

Great Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a new laptop at Best Buy today and needed a router to go along with it. The price was very budget friendly and I didn't need anything fancy since this was just for light at home use. Set up was fast and easy and I was connected to the internet in no time! I love it.
