I needed a wireless router that allowed a lot of gamers. This allowed that and had good distance. I replaced a router that did not provide as much range and this works great. I am very pleased and so are my children, 4 of which use it to play games. Does not drop off the ability to play.

    Great Router, Easy Setup

For the price and easy setup, it's really hard to beat the NETGEAR N300. Setup took me approx. ten minutes. My previous router was a Linksys. I cannot remember the model but it was $39.99 when I purchased it almost two years ago. The range was a lot better, but failed in comparison to the easy setup of NETGEAR N300, especially for NAT settings. The router sits in a room at the far end of the house. Device's in the kitchen, opposite end of the house, that received full bars with the previous router, now get one bar with this router. I have had this router a little over a month. I stream music from my phone to my receiver and receive occasional "buffering" moments when I travel to opposite ends of the house where the router is located. It's not a big enough issue for me to take it back as I am not always in these areas and receive full bars in "high traffic areas" of the house.

I recently bought a warehouse store n router for about 40 bucks and had nothing but problems. Took that thing back and got this thing and LOVE IT. Easy setup and easy to use and have had NO ISSUES during hours of online ps3 play. Love it

It is very easy to set up. It was a little bit of a chore to connect some of the devices but that wasn't due to the router but the device. I like that you can set up you main account and also add a guest account. This router allowed me to utilize the true speed of my cable modem. All-in-all I am very happy with this product.

THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST ROUTER

I originally had a dynex wireless router which had the 802.11g networking capabilities, but that died on me after 2 years, i was in the market for a new router, so i headed down to the store and asked the sales associate what would be best for my money and future proof, he recommended this router and it was the best recommendation i have ever gotten, the signal quality and strength is amazing, i hade no problems setting up my router on windows 7, just popped in the disc with my internet hooked up, set up a passkey, and the software takes care of everything else, wps is a breeze and works wonders. i was originally thinking of getting a cisco valet, for ease but seeing as i know some people who have had trouble with it, im glad i chose this. plus the price i got it at was $30 dollars cheaper than the valet and has better performance and features, the wireless off button is handy, if your trying to save power, or dont own a wifi enabled device.

Easy to setup. Replaced a Cisco 1811 and the performance blows the Cisco away. Network froze early on and I had to power cycle router to restore. Initially I was concerned, but it has performed flawlessly since then. I ordered it online for store pickup at my nearest Best Buy. This transaction was flawless and the price was competitive. If it fits your requirements, I highly recommend this item from Best Buy.

I returned two of this model's bigger brother because they didn't work (the N600, nasty unit). But this little guy does, and quite well at that. It installs secured, and that is very important. Once it's running, you can forget about it. Simple.

    Great basic wireless router

It was a very simple set up and works a lot better than I thought it would. I don't use my computer for many demanding programs, but I would suggest this for every day use. Living in my dorm I only have 1 Ethernet port and have my computer and xbox to hook up, so this works very well to give me a few extra.

I purchased this router to replace a Linksys router that I had been using for many years. It had been kicking off a lot and frustrating me to no end. I had purchased the same Netgear router for my home and liked it so much, I thought I'd get one for my summer home. I am so happy I did. It works so much faster than the Linksys. It's easy to install and setup on my home system. I recommend it highly.

    Good Router

I found out that its one of the easiest and reliable routers I have ever used. All of my wireless devices (laptop, cell phone, dvr, e-reader, etc) found the router easily and connects fairly quickly. My only complaint is for the price, I feel that it should have a usb port for a portable hard drive for network use.

had to be the most easy item i ever installed on my p.c. it did all the work in about 5 mins it lets you make your own wep key and encrypts it so now i don't have to remember some crazy password the l.e.d on front is easy to read and displays everything signal strength is good in my big house i get 90% really far away has a separate off switch for wifi in case you want to shut that down for a while

I was afraid it wouldn't work well in all rooms, especially in finished basement , but it provides great reliable access for PS3 in game room down stairs, as well as rest of house. Have only had it about a month but very impressed so far.

I recently switched Internet providers from DSL to Cable. The cable company only provided a cable modem with no wireless capability. Having many wireless devices in the house (PS3, 2 PCs, iPod touch, Netbook) I needed a wireless router. This one was on sale and the reviews looked good so I picked it up. I took it home and was able to have it completely set up and configured for all of my devices in just a few minutes. Unlike my previous wireless (supplied by the DSL provider) I have not had any instances of lost wireless access. I also have not had to reboot this one yet. It's been going strong for probably a month now. I highly recommend this Netgear wireless router.

Excellent Router for a First Time Purchaser

I bought the NETGEAR Wireless-N Router when I established Cox High Speed Internet service in my home, and I wanted to share the connection VIA Wi-Fi with my laptop and my video game system located in another room. The setup process was extremely easy; from box to activation was less than 10 minutes. The prompts on the installation disk were clear, to the point, and helped me setup the security features the way I wanted to. (There are also loads of Parental Controls offered through NetGear that are quite powerful and work wonders, but as I am using this router for my own personal needs, I did not test the parental blocks too far in depth.) The connection has always been strong regardless on how many devices were connected either wired or wireless. The range was also extremely good as I was able to get a strong connection with my laptop both outside and inside with my various devices. Bottom line, if you are looking for a router that will connect all your Wi-Fi enabled devices with ease and with power, this is the one to go with.

Big improvement over old G router. Now have a very good connection at the far end of the house and outside on the patio. Easy to setup. Like being able to setup a guest network access. Connected 2 satellite TV receivers to network.

First time setting up wireless and sooo simple. The guys at store helped me deciding what I needed. Currently verizon dsl with barely 3 download speed. This product fit what I needed to use my iPhone Internet tv and more. I can use this all through 3 stories of house and still get great speed

Worked straight out of the box. Have had no problems. Had no difficulty setting up my Wi Fi TV, iPad, Printer and my Laptop and Desktop. I replaced my old G router, Which had served me well for years. I don't know if the new router is any faster, just wanted to upgrade to the more current technology.

It was so easy to hook up, I just knew it would not work. I was wrong. It works great. The sales associate at Best Buy helped me select the router and told me to follow the instructions. If I needed help someone would be able to help if I called. Did not need any help and it is still working excellent.

Paid a little more than I wanted but couldn't be any happier with this unit. Install was ridiculously easy...connect the unit, fire up the computer, put in the CD...the install process practically handles itself...was up and surfing within 5 minutes of starting. Haven't had a problem with function or range issues (within reason). All in all, i am very pleased with this product.

We got this router because we switched back to TWC's RR and it sucked badly because RR is slow, not High Speed Internet. This router does not affect our internet's spped because it's up to 300 MBPS, plays multiplayer games online, simultaneous downloads, and other cool stuff, Very small, good setup, and 4 ethernet ports with Wi-Fi. Overall, it's a recommendation.
