Easy to set up and get started

This was easy to set up right out of the box. I consider myself somebody who has limited knowledge of my network connections, and I was pleased that this was so easy to use. I have always just been hooked up to a cable for internet use (unusual in 2012 but I never wanted to spend the few dollars for the freedom it allowed). I bought it so that I could have wireless for a new tablet purchase. The wireless connection is able to reach the basement and all of the rooms of the house, as well as the deck for summertime use. I glad I made the purchase. There have been no issues with connectivity running my tablet and laptop.

The router was easy to set up and install on my home network. My server had no problems recognizing the router and the security set up went very smothly. This router is providing a 360 deg coverage of my home with a range of 200 ft from the source location.

Bought this wireless router a week ago on sale in Aberdeen NC. I must say that it's worth every penny. Works great and very easy to install. I upgrated form a G wireless router because of drop signals. Since I've installed this router no problems at all. A++

Bought this to replace a linksys N that died. This router has been out performing the Linksys N (which was roughly double the price) and was much easier to get up, running and configured for my office VPN. Only thing I do not like is that there doesn't appear a way to set DHCP lease times, but this is really a minor issue.

    Amazing router

This router has amazing features and netgear by far has very good parental control. The latest firmware update has a security loophole (once authenticated to the router, the admin console can be accessed without authentication - I reverted back to the old firmware b'cas of this issue). Signal strength is good for a two bedroom apartment. Live Parental Controls can be enabled or disabled by running the software available online or in the cd (can be used only from windows or mac). Once the LPC is enabled, the content filtering can be done online (netgear.opendns.com). Another great feature is the bypass account (certain users can have less to no content filter than others). Also it is compatible with dd-wrt. So far I had no issues and the router doesn't seem to get hot. I also use this router for basic NAS with a separate guest account. Love this router.

It took a couple tries for my computer to recognize this router, but ultimately only took ~15 minutes to get up and running. Performance has been solid -- able to stream Netflix without significant buffering. Better than expected for the $50 price.

I am tried 5 different wireless N routers and this is the only one that i have liked. the UI is awesome, why can't every thing be as simple and the speed has been nearly consistent 300mps. range is about 1/8 of a mile with no dead zones which is awesome too. I have not found one thing i don't like about it yet.

This product was very easy to install and works very well. My olnly problem was with my wireless printer because the printer did not support an N router. Make sure your printer supports the N router.

This is my first wireless router. I'm glad that I upgraded. Easy setup, less than 5 min. I have a laptop & PS3 wireless, and 360, wired. Great performance, even with multiple devices in use. I waited six months(June 2010) when I did this review.

I NEVER made a review before but since this router has been GREAT for its price it's worth it to make a review for this. It's about $40 something, CHEAPER than other routers. My friends bought like expensive ones and they are so complicated to set up. This router is AWESOME I RECOMMEND THIS!

I could only go one room over with wifi service with my previous router because of plaster walls. Bought this little guy and was able to extend it another 2 rooms. Very easy to setup and very reliable.

    Good little Router....

It works great and the setup was easy also. I would have given it 5 stars across the board but everytime I have a power failure it shuts off and you have to use the power button to turn it back on. Not good when I am trying to remote into my Windows home server to get files that I left at home and the router didn't come back on. Also, it has a port forwarding issue with windows home server which I am still researching but other than that, Great router for the price. That is to say if having a router with an on/off switch doesn't bother you.... Just one more thing to reset after the clocks! :) Last thing, it looks allot better with all my home theatre equipment since it is black. Blends in allot better than those other ones, you know the white UFO looking ones or the blue ones with antennea's out the back.

    Good Router, Easy to Install

This router was very easy to install with a cable company's modem to create "wi-fi" in the house. It's range is good, and there have been no technical problems. At $50.00 it's a little pricey, but, at least it's a good product.

I know the ratings seem high, but this router is so far flawless. Compared to a previous Lynksys router, this was extremely easy to install and set up, and the push-button connect (WPS) makes connecting wireless components a breeze.

    Easy Installation & Works Great

I purchased the Netgear WNR2000 wireless N router on 11/29/08. The installation took minutes. I am using Verizon internet on the router and have had no problems. I bought the router to use with a dell hybrid desktop and dell inspiron 1525 laptop. The router comes with a software CD that literally walks you through the steps, including setting up a password to secure the sight. Although I live in a rural area and have a house, you never know who may be lingering around the neighborhood. The first time we used the laptop and desktop for internet connection, we had to enter the password we assigned. You are not prompted for a password after this point. I lucked out and bought the router for $50. Highly recommend to anyone who doesn't consider themselves a technical expert! Minimum technical knowledge required!
